At their deepest point, the top of the T2D Project tunnels will be up to 30m underground.

Twin tunnels will run parallel to each other, and will be up to 20m apart. Each tunnel will have three traffic lanes inside, and a posted speed limit of 80km/h.

Cross passages between the tunnels will be spaced at about 120m to enable safe evacuation of a tunnel in the event of a serious incident.
