25 to Life Records, The MIC Gave Us 25 to Life!

* STATEMENT FROM CUSTOMS *

Since 2017, and indeed for nearly a decade, I've poured my heart, soul, and financial resources into making 25 to Life Records a genuine home for our artists and affiliates.

My vision was always simple, to remove the financial barriers that prevent talented people from sharing their music, and to nurture a creative, supportive community.

I want to take a moment to reflect on the commitment I made, a commitment that has sadly not been equally reciprocated in recent times.

My Commitment to the 25 to Life Family
For years, I operated the label on my own dime, never asking anyone for a single cent for services that other labels charge handsomely for. My belief was that my investment in you was an investment in the music and the collective future of 25 to Life Records.

Here is what I consistently provided since 2017, all free of charge to every artist and affiliates.

* SoundCloud Subscriptions:
I covered the monthly subscription fees for 8 Years on SoundCloud so every member could upload, tracks, Mixtapes, Albums and more to help their work without limits.

* Distribution Costs:
I personally paid for the distribution of every songs, mixtapes & albums to ensure they were available on SoundCloud, YouTube, Social Media Pages for the Globe to Hear. & get YOU Recognized in the Global Underground Music Scene!

* YouTube Presence:
I handled the upload and management of tracks on our YouTube channel, building a necessary visual and streaming presence.

* Social Media & Promotion:
I took on the responsibility of creating and managing our social media platforms to help push our Artist's work to a wider audience.

* Creative Services:
I did free video editing, free graphic design, free videos, free awards and provided free artwork for singles and albums and a lot more things, I Basically have Deisgned everything an Artist woukd need. Everything related to the visual and promotional side was done at no cost to anyone inside the Clan.

The Bottom Line:
For close to ten years, I ran this label, paid for this label, and handled the operations of this label entirely on my own. My goal was always to empower you by covering the infrastructure costs.

The Disappointment of Reciprocity... :/
This is why I find the current situation so disheartening. After a decade of providing everything for FREE, investing Hundreds if not Thousands of Dollars into the Label and countless hours of labor.

I am now being asked to pay for things within the very structure I created and maintained.
The essence of a family or a collective is mutual respect and support. If I treated everyone with unwavering generosity for ten years, giving my time, money, and skills without expectation of payment, I should at least be treated with the same sense of fairness and non-monetary support in return?!

If my decade-long commitment to paying for everyone's needs is now met with a request for me to pay for things, then I have to ask: What was the point? What a waste of time and resources if the principle of mutual respect and equal treatment cannot hold true after such a long investment?!

I want to be perfectly clear... I have the utmost respect for every single artist and affiliate artist I have worked with, and I wouldn't change a thing about the support I have given.

I would just like to receive the same consideration and treatment I extended to so many artists for so many years.

Please know that this reflection is not aimed at any single person in particular... it is simply an honest statement about the current dynamics of the situation.
