Yes, I really do bring a tape measure and hammer to weddings.
Why?
Because perfect ceremony photos do not happen by accident.
I place discreet green markers in the ground, 900mm apart, so the bridal party knows exactly where to stand. It keeps everyone beautifully spaced, balanced and perfectly positioned for the photographer.
Most guests never notice it.
The couple may never even see it.
But the photos show it.
That is the difference between simply turning up as a celebrant and truly producing a ceremony.
Little details. Big difference.

How much does a wedding celebrant cost in Adelaide?
It’s one of the first questions many couples ask when planning their wedding, and it’s a fair question.
But the real answer is not just about the price.
You are paying for experience, preparation, legal accuracy, professional audio, timing, confidence, delivery and the ability to create a ceremony that feels personal, polished and beautifully delivered.
As the old saying goes, “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten.”
Your ceremony is one of the most important moments of your wedding day, so choosing the right celebrant matters.
I’ve written a blog explaining what wedding celebrants charge in Adelaide, what is usually included, and what couples should consider before making a decision.

Most people think a Wedding MC just makes announcements.
In reality, a great MC controls the flow, timing, atmosphere and energy of the entire reception.
They guide the room.
Coordinate with suppliers.
Manage speeches.
Calm nerves.
Keep guests informed.
And make sure the night feels effortless instead of awkward.
After more than 20,000 weddings and events across MC, DJ and celebrant roles, I can honestly say the right MC can completely change the feel of a wedding reception.
A good MC keeps the night moving.
A great MC creates a night people remember.
I’ve just written a new blog explaining:
• What a professional Wedding MC actually does
• Why prices vary so much
• The difference between a friend with a microphone and an experienced MC
• What couples should really look for before booking

Rain does not ruin a wedding.
Poor planning and panic can.
After managing over 20,000 weddings, I can honestly say that some of the most beautiful, emotional and memorable weddings have happened on cold, wet or unpredictable days.
The key is having a backup plan, keeping guests comfortable, staying calm and remembering what the day is really about.
The love.
The people.
The moment.
The celebration.
Photos can still be incredible.
The atmosphere can still be amazing.
And the day can still be everything you hoped for.
A great wedding is not about perfect weather.
It is about the right attitude, the right planning and the right people guiding the day.

Wedding speeches should never feel rushed, awkward or disorganised.
A great MC makes sure the room is ready before anyone starts speaking.
That means giving guests a proper 10 minute call, so they can top up their glasses, use the bathroom, return from outside and be seated comfortably.
It also means checking in with the venue coordinator or banquets manager before the formalities begin, so the timeline is right, tables are cleared, staff are ready and nothing starts before the room is set.
These are the small details guests may not notice, but they absolutely feel the difference.
After managing over 20,000 weddings, I know this for sure:
Timing matters.
Guest comfort matters.
Venue communication matters.
Flow matters.
And that’s why having the right MC makes such a difference.
