Tonight we are rehearsing for our show at Ginger's Vintage Lounge on Sunday 14th December at 4pm. We are on a campaign to swing every great song we love, no matter the genre. We'll test the claims of the world's greatest minds, who discovered that every song sounds better with a swing rhythm, played on guitars, fiddles and a double bass! And apparently, even more so at Xmas. Please book early.

One of our favourite shows of the year was Ginger's Vintage Lounge Bar. We are returning there on Friday, December 12 for our last show of the year. It's a great place for audiences to see us. Everyone gets their own table. Food is also available. Wilson Main (guitar) and Ted Keeley (vocals) from Meanwhile...Back At The Ranch were recently invited to play on an interesting project by The Green Cornet. Other than guitar and vocals, all instruments are played by The Green Cornet himself in a tribute to that eccentric 1960s outfit, The Bonzo Dog Doodah Band, who wrote and recorded the original. The Green Cornet runs an excellent recording studio and is also a fine musician. This is one of his fun personal projects and we were delighted to be invited to contribute.

The weather was not looking great for Dr Fez's outdoor show on Sunday 21st at Sinclair's Gully. We have postponed it until summer. In the meantime, you can catch Dr Fez and The Usual Suspects at Ern Malley this Saturday night (20th September). Entry is free.

Don't forget to book your tickets for Meanwhile Back At The Ranch appearing at Gingers Vintage Lounge Bar on Saturday July 12th. We have found in the past that ticket sales are mostly a last week purchase. However, that seems to quite different for this venue, and a substantial number of tickets have been sold already. There are still plenty of tables left, but book now to be certain. It's a great venue. You can also book in for dinner as well.

This past Sunday (June 8th) Dr Fez and The Usual Suspects played to a full house at the Mylor Hall, alongside virtuoso harpist Suzanne Handel. Thank you to audience members Tony & Sue Phillips and Bruce Hogben for sharing some photos with us, some of which we have posted here. Suzanne also joined us for some vintage swing classics towards the end of the show. Harp worked surprisingly well. It's not exactly a traditional swing instrument but we liked it very much, and we'll do it again.
