Little bit of a long one here…
Just like that the 2023 season comes to an end

Finished Round 6 - "The Final" 2023 Walky Park Khanacross Series | DH Rallysport in 6th overall taking the Class B and Junior wins 🏆 🏆.

This meant we won the Class B (1301-1600cc), and Junior championships for the year. However, the cherry on top was the 3rd overall in the championship for the year out of 72 competitors full of 4WD and Turbos. 🏆

We knew it would be a fairly difficult day with only 4 very old and worn tyres (they had done 2 SARC rounds, 2 stadium sprints and 2 full years of Khanacross and Rallysprinting). However we got through with a decent amount of car preservation.

A massive thank you to Black Nitro SA by ikklefellas and Daren Herring for the sponsorship and support getting me to this last round and helping me secure the 2 championships and the 3rd overall for the year.

Another thank you to Darrin Field, Bruce Field, and Fields Auto Racing Team for the support all year, doing majority of the mechanical work that I don’t have time for whilst balancing school work.

A final thank you to this amazing little excel. I couldn’t have asked for any more out of this amazing little car. It’s been put through hell this year with minimal funds for maintenance. It’s kept up with and beaten 4WD Subarus and Evos (even one overall stage win) and been bounced off and stuck on embankments. It’s taught me so much about driving this year. It may be goodbye for a little while, but the car and myself will be back sooner or later once the stresses and pressures of Year 12 next year die down.

And just like that the 2022 season is over, and what a year it was. Thank you to everyone that has helped me out with my first year rallying in the Walky Park Series and the SARC.

The experiences I have been given the opportunity to have are invaluable. Driving my own car in my first rally sprint, co-driving in Rally Barossa, participating in a Q&A session with heroes like Ross Dunkerton, getting my L’s, driving my uncle Bruce’s Mercedes to the SARC presentations, and of course winning my first ever trophy!

Once again thank you all so much, let’s have another year of rallying action!!!
