Life is a journey. Sometimes easy. Sometimes difficult. Sometimes exhausting. Sometimes rewarding. This instrumental journey is one of those moments. The guitars were tracked with a few different guitars, all with different string gauges and tunings and different amps, rolled into one musical journey that somehow worked. I also added some 80s style keys, just because.

A reminder of the unhinged, illogical narrative that is used by powerful elites in their quest for power, popularity, and control. Some humans simply make it horrible for others. Lies are blatant, and yet there are those that follow the propaganda like it’s their saviour.

This track is a statement about the quality of our current day sources of news and journalism, and how just about every media source lies, provides misleading headlines, and is generally diminishing journalistic value and integrity. Drowning in the headlines represents the struggle we have with getting quality information from all sources of the media.

This track is also the first track I have collaborated with someone else since the suBioMech project started, and who better to do that with than my man Chaddles ex SE BON KI RA. These were productive catchups every time, with a plan for more. We drink. We play. We create. x

So after a long hiatus due to some massive personal challenges with the rapid ageing and passing of both parents in the last 1.5 years, including an ugly battle with dementia, aged care processes during COVID, and a busy life in general, I am back on the creative writing/publishing bandwagon.

More tunes are already in progress but I’m extremely happy to be back publishing again.

Please enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed writing it. It contains one of my favourite riffs to play of late, and one of the greatest rages captured in recent history.
