Everybody needs a good sleep, so here's some things you can do to prevent the bed bugs from biting!💤

1 - Be clean! Vacuum your mattress and the areas around your mattress often.

2 - Whenever staying at a hotel or BnB, never place your suitcase on the bed or the floor. Find somewhere up off the ground to stow your luggage.

3 - After returning from holiday, immediately wash your clothes on a high temperature setting. If you cant fit them all in one load, throw the rest in a plastic bag, tie it up tight ready for the next load. If you suspect you do have bed bugs hitching a ride, throw the clothes in a dryer afterwards on a hot setting!

4 - Use a mattress protector that encloses the entire mattress. This disables bed bugs from nesting in the nooks and crannies found on a mattress and they are very effective. Just check for holes every now and then.

5 - Inspect any second hand upholstered furniture before bringing them inside. This is a very common way of bed bugs being spread from home to home. Look for small black dots (droppings), blood stains and little brown bed bugs!

But if they are biting, don't worry we have you covered. There are a few things you can do to get rid of them! 👇

1 - Wash all your bed sheets, mattress protectors and pillowcases on a high temperature setting with a quality detergent. If you have a dryer, throw them in after the wash and use a hot setting also. The high temperatures will kill them off.

2 - Freeze any teddy bears or small pillows overnight. Just like the high-temp washes, the extreme temperature will eliminate them. This technique is great for anything you don't want to throw in the washer/dryer.

3 - Vacuum your mattress thoroughly. If you have a vacuum with a removable bag, throw it out right after you're done.
