EXTENSION PROJECT ... This beautiful bungalow already has alot going for it. Perfect orientation, good sized existing rooms with high ceilings and a large block.

The problem is that the existing extension does not have any connection to the back garden or northern light.

As an architectural designer my passion is creating homes for calm family life. Homes that consider your current routines and lifestyle, but will evolve with your family, providing timeless spaces for privacy and for connection.

This is our concept floor plan ... lots of northern light, allowing sun to shine through the windows in winter and blocking the harsh summer sun with verandahs in summer. Our favourite part- a utilities wing with bag drop, mud room, laundry, butlers pantry, breakfast nook and household admin corner, all with direct connection to the carport for a smooth transition from car to house and back again.

DESIGN FOR A NARROW SITE...Designed for a 10m wide allotment with regulations for the scale of the home, boundary setbacks and wall heights governed by council. We were able to provide a spacious family home with 3 bedrooms, a study and a large second living space.

The open plan living incorporates a butler's pantry and a gin bar, and it has a soaring cathedral ceiling to create a sense of grandeur. A curved staircase becomes a sculptural feature and creates a buffer zone between the 2 living areas.

This exciting project has been granted Planning Approval and is currently being documented for construction.
