With a Heavy Heart

We are deeply saddened to share the news our dear friend and long-standing BCASA member, Chhaya Barua boudi , passed away on Friday, 5 June 2026.
Chhaya was a cherished part of the BCASA family for many years. Her warmth, kindness, and friendly nature touched the lives of so many within our community. She will be remembered not only for her involvement and support but also for the smiles, conversations, and friendships she shared with us all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time. We hope they find comfort in the many beautiful memories she leaves behind and in the love of those who knew her.

Chhaya boudi, you will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all of us.

We are pleased to commence our annual membership renewal process. We request all current and past members, as well as those interested in joining BCASA, to complete their annual membership payment by 31st May 2026.

Membership Categories and Fees:
Adult (18 years and above): $50 per person
Children under 18 years: No fee
We also warmly welcome parents of members who are residing in or visiting Australia to attend our events. No membership fees or charges will apply to them.

BCASA (Bengali Cultural Association of SA) is excited to kick off 2026 journey, once again, with our very first event -Saraswati Puja, celebrating with our well-wishers, patrons and above all our valued members, both new and old. Announcing this event on the auspicious occasions Basanti Panchami and sacred birthday of our most beloved Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, makes it even more special, poignant and meaningful.
BCASA cordially welcomes you and your family to join us for the puja, an evening of evening of culture, togetherness, and community celebration under the aegis of newly formed executive committee.
