Alexandrina Council won the Community Engagement Award in 2022 from the Planning Institute of Australia for their village innovation planning.

It's been great to assist Alexandrina in 2021 and 2022 with some advice in planning community engagement. I've also assisted in preparing background papers and draft 'plans' on valued places like Strathalbyn, Pt Elliot and Langhorne Creek.

Completed research this year on options for South Australia's urban planning system in an increasingly challenging changing climate. Be it coastal changes, more heat, less water, decisions need to be made on what is built today and where so it is resilient for the climate in 50 years time. Takes planning ahead.

Productive year over 2022. Appeared as expert witness in the Environment Court supporting refusal of a 'somewhat big' child care centre. Ultimately successful outcome with an appropriately scaled building gaining consent in the Hills Neighbourhood Zone.

Enjoyed assisting clients gain various approvals for development of their residential properties

Enjoyed assisting a regional council think though how to meaningfully engage their diverse and large community of numerous townships. Outcome helped them undertake engagement which was named as one of their big achievements for 2021!

Enjoyed assisting a client identify potential inner city development sites. Customised report made for a satisfied customer.
