Tomorrow is International Day of Disability. It would be great if we get a gathering at 1pm at Rundle Mall outside apple shop for and impromptu fashion walk parade of disability.

Image shift won an award a few months ago for the work with disability and fashion, making a difference in shifting perception of disability.

I couldn’t get traction today so I went to Rundle Mall and took photos of just me in one of the outfits, so you can imagine how amazing it would be if 8 to 20 abled and disabled people were wearing the same outfit in all our uniqueness.

What is so right now is the Lack of understanding of Disability
What is so right now is that Those disabled often feel unworthy and don’t believe looking and feeling beautiful is possible

What is so right now is that There are rarely any gorgeous clothes for disabled.

If nothing is done send there will continue to be More misunderstanding, more disconnection and more sadness that doesn’t need to be be there.

What is the predictable future in this area if no ction is taken is that Those with disabilities will not get simple opportunities will Remain disengaged and considered as special .

The way the future could be in this area if a new possibility was created is that ‘disability ‘is a normal word

Clothing for disabled changes our beliefs of beauty.

Wearable art. Each skirt requires 2 pieces. (1 for each leg) . Buy 3 pieces to mix and match.
To match the needs of Disability, all skirts have been tested and suitable for machine wash (cold) and tumble dried . Daily if need be.

I’m creating this event to keep motivation hope and most importantly to keep pride and glamour alive, for others of those that are disabled and equally in my life too. I did the same parade 10 years ago with significant awareness and impact.
