Austria Center Vienna
Austria's largest conference & congress venue. 🇦🇹
Shaping the future of events through digital innovations. ✨
Creating unforgettable experiences. 🚀
Turns out the people who plan congresses for thousands of guests also know their way around a grill 🔥
One stage. Every format.
polySTAGE is the world’s largest kinetic LED installation, and the reason it matters is simple: it moves.
52 individually controllable LED panels that reconfigure to whatever your programme needs. A closed, flat surface for a plenary session in front of thousands of delegates. A staged, sculptural setup for an award ceremony. A branded environment for a product launch that looks nothing like the event before it.
Most venues ask you to design your programme around the stage. Here it works the other way around. The same room can host a medical congress in the morning and a gala in the evening, and neither one looks like a compromise.
For organisers that means fewer workarounds, less scenic build, and a visual identity that carries across every session without rebuilding the room three times.
One installation. Countless configurations. Right in the heart of Vienna.
Planning your next congress? Our team is happy to walk you through what polySTAGE can do for your format.

Some numbers only make sense when you put them next to something you know.
26,000 m² is 3.6 football pitches. 22,800 people is a small city. One hall alone covers 16 tennis courts. And the polySTAGE puts the equivalent of 370 large screens in motion above the entrance hall.
This is what Austria’s largest congress centre looks like once you translate the spec sheet.

4 days. Every room booked. Every floor alive.
There is a particular sound a building makes when it is completely full. Not noise. Something closer to a hum.
For four days in June, HIGH END Vienna filled every level of this house. Listening rooms behind every door. Speakers taller than the people admiring them. Visitors from 104 countries drifting from floor to floor, following whatever they heard next.
Then Sunday evening came, the last room went quiet, and the building exhaled.
Thank you to the HIGH END Society and to every exhibitor who made this house sound like that.
See you 6 to 9 May 2027.
Same terrace. Same city. Different hour.
When the last session is done, MOTTO am Fluss keeps going. Restaurant and bar on the Donaukanal, Austrian kitchen in an international key, and the water doing what the water does after dark.
Same house that runs catering at the Austria Center Vienna. Which is either a coincidence or a recommendation.

445 million euros.
That is what one year at this address gave back to Austria, according to an independent study by EcoAustria. Not just inside our halls, but in the hotels, restaurants, shops and businesses across the country that a congress touches.
In 2012 the same figure was 170 million. It has more than doubled since.

Three mistakes first-time delegates make in Vienna.
Nobody warns you about the coffee. There is no such thing as just „a coffee“ in a Viennese Kaffeehaus. Ask for a Melange, a Verlängerter or a Kleiner Brauner and you are suddenly a local.
Nobody warns you about the tip either. You do not leave it on the table. You say the total when you pay.
And the escalator rule is not a suggestion. Right is for standing. Left is for walking. Vienna is very clear about this one.

Leiwand. The highest compliment you can get in Vienna! đź’›
No polite nodding, no „“that was nice““. When something is genuinely good, Viennese people call it leiwand. Want to sound like a true local? Put „“ur““ in front of it. „“Ur leiwand““ is as enthusiastic as this city gets.
Swipe to decode it, then try it out on your next Melange.

700+ events taught us one thing ⤵️
The risks that derail international events rarely show up on event day. They get locked in months earlier, when budget, technology and attendee numbers are still moving.
In 30 minutes, our event experts Michaela, Philip and May share what more than 700 corporate events have taught us about keeping large-scale events on budget, on schedule and genuinely worth remembering.
And why Vienna, one of the world’s leading congress destinations, makes all of it easier to plan.
Free. On demand. 30 minutes!

Congress ends at five. Vienna does not.
MOTTO am Fluss sits right on the Donaukanal, terrace open to the water, and it is run by the same house that caters every event at the Austria Center Vienna. So if you liked lunch in the hall, this is where the rest of it lives.
Ten minutes from us on the U1. Coffee, lunch, or just the view.
