The conference’s goal is to position Austria as leading country and hub for worldwide regional best practice projects in the fields of climate protection and renewable energies. Austria’s role as a country without nuclear power will be underlined and its reputation strengthened. It will be demonstrated that the energy transition is possible without nuclear power and less fossil energy and even the economic position can be reinforced by creating green jobs and a greater independence from imports of energy. R20 Austria & EU and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Foresty, Environment and Water Management are the hosts of this conference. Important partner and principal supporter is the Austrian Climate- and Energyfund.
