Here, we are 2 composers performing music of a 3rd composer, old master Sergei Prokofiev.

Jean and are both composers *and* performers. They are very passionate about performing in a creative and fresh manner and staying connected to the physicality of music through maintaining a performing career while also composing their own new music.

Piano Test 2: On Saturday night, i had the luxury of exploring 3 halls full of many very different piano types with the wonderful at Klavierloft. It's really a pianist's playground when you can just go from piano to piano and try then all! ✨️🎹🙌

I am still on my quest to find a solution for my angry neighbours who should not be "disturbed by piano sounds" over the holidays 🙃

❤️ What really touched me was that moment when I tried a very simple and quite cheap priced Yamaha upright (pianino) and realised it was exactly the same model (and from the same year) as the piano that I first started playing on as a small child. It felt familiar, cozy, friendly and surprisingly expressive and sonorous. The first always remains in one's heart. The first is always special. ❤️

Silent piano sounds like aggressive ants running 🐜 🐜 🐜 🐜 according to my mum 🤩🤔

This lovely and sunny crisp November afternoon i ran from my piano lesson to try some pianos at the Bechstein Centrum before running back to university to pick up my students for our workshop in another city district of Vienna.

✨️Motivation:
Lately, I have been practising more and my above + below neighbours are - let's just say - not amused. So I am currently searching for a good fit for myself for evening, weekend and maybe even late night practice on a piano that can be switched to silent when needed. In Vienna, I am so blessed to be able to test out many many different and wonderful pianos until I 💗-match with one of them and can bring her home with me.

It's the season of freezing cold weather and threats of snowy or icy weather ❄️❄️❄️ Sometimes, thinking about snow and ice in a musical way can end up warming your heart ❤️ 🔥

I sat down at these all white keys and felt dizzy... So closed my eyes and started to dream. I dreamt about stories, about clouds, about emotions and about the past and the future. And here's the result...

dreaming is *always* allowed ✨️
This slow and intimate variation from Handel's Chaconne in G grants so much solace, warmth, and peace during these trying and cold times. ❤️

This is the 1st piece from the evocative cycle for piano "Images, book 2", whcih Debussy composed in 1907. Almost unbelievable that this highly fresh and modern sounding music is close to 120 years old already!

I have always loved this piece it's in seemingly boundless freedom. Like a sound bath! 🛁
