Last week, the Formunauts team came together at Artis cinema for our annual Movie Night! ✨

We grabbed our favorite cinema snacks and settled in to watch the incredible documentary "Ocean" with David Attenborough - a truly powerful reminder of the importance of protecting our planet. The film set the perfect tone for an insightful follow-up presentation by Aris, before we wrapped up the evening with drinks and good conversations.

Events like these are a great reminder of how valuable it is to step back, get inspired together, and strengthen our team bond outside the daily routine.

Sweet relief from the summer heat ✨

With Vienna hitting a sizzling 39°C yesterday, our Front Office team came up with the absolute best way to survive the heatwave: an official Formunauts Ice Cream Day! 🔥

We spent our lunch break cooling down, catching up, and enjoying a wide variety of delicious ice cream flavors together. Nothing brings a team together quite like a sweet, icy treat when the temperatures skyrocket.

A piece of the cosmos has landed at Formunauts! ✨

We recently had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the brilliant Austrian artist Jochen Höller to our office. He personally delivered his fascinating artwork, “Neighbourhood” from his "Universes" series and we are still in awe.

Honestly, it feels like this piece was practically made for us. Here is why it hits so close to home:

🦋 Chaos Theory & the Butterfly Effect: Jochen thoughtfully constructed this piece using around 8,000 individual letters, with the majority drawn from scientific writings on Chaos Theory. We love the idea that a tiny flap of a butterfly’s wings can change everything - just like how a single 5-minute conversation can spark huge impact and move things forward.

💬 The Power of Language: Jochen doesn't use traditional paint - he extracts letters from books and rearranges them into complex visual structures. For us, it’s a beautiful metaphor for communication. It’s all about taking individual elements, finding the right words, and turning them into meaningful, face-to-face dialogue to build something greater.

🚀 The Space Theme: The artwork is based on a real Hubble Space Telescope image of a starfield. As Formunauts, we obviously didn't need much convincing to fall in love with a piece of the cosmos!

Looking at the map, it’s safe to say the Formunauts team has been truly unstoppable over the last few weeks! From mid-May to mid-June, we’ve been racing across Europe to connect with the amazing fundraising community.

A massive shoutout to the teams on the ground who made it all happen!

The Formunaus ONE UK Crew kicked things off at the Lotteries Council Conference in Kenilworth and wrapped up at the Fundraising Convention in London.

Madrid: Aris, Nadja and Max bringing the energy to the Congreso de Fundraising.

Berlin: Pascal inspiring conversations at the German Fundraising Congress.

Riccione: Barbara and Elias bringing great vibes to the Festival del Fundraising.

Bern: Nadja, Pascal and Max finishing strong at the Swiss Fundraising Day just last week.

Whether you stopped by our booths to talk face-to-face strategies, tried your luck at the claw crane, got a custom caricature, or cheered for our Nintendo Switch winner - thank you to everyone who made these events so memorable.

Now, we are taking a short break, but the autumn schedule is already locked in! We are already looking forward to October, when we will be heading to the Austrian Fundraising Congress in Vienna and the International Fundraising Congress in Noordwijk. 🍂
