Josef Hoffmann, Chair, Model # 330 from 1900

Exhibition: chairs for a dining room in: Winter Exhibition of the Austrian Museum for Art and Industry, Vienna, late 1901; exhibition in Saint Louis, 1904, beechwood, stained to simulate mahogany and polished finish; seat and back rest subsequently upholstered and with rose-coloured suede cover; below the backrest and on the side of part of the seat with round decorative brass rivets; with four brass sabots; a few restorations and over-paintings; signs of age and use; the underside with brand mark and company label; height 96.0 cm, height of seat 48.0 cm, width 45.8 cm, depth 58.0 cm.
