On World Cerebral Palsy Day, we celebrate the Para athletes who continue to challenge perceptions and show what is possible through Para sport.

🇫🇷 Aurélie Aubert, Paralympic champion in Boccia, is one of those athletes. Her journey is a reminder that talent, determination and ambition know no limits.

A Legacy That Keeps Moving 🫂🇮🇹

Five months after Alex Zanardi’s passing, his legacy continues to remind us that every day is an opportunity to discover what drives us, to overcome challenges and to keep pursuing what we love.

In London 2012, Alex showed the world what that passion could become.

This European Week of Sport, the message is simple: your way.

But having the opportunity to be active matters too.

Through the European Para Youth Games Legacy Initiative, the European Paralympic Committee is working with partners across Europe to create more opportunities for people with disabilities to discover, participate in and shape sport.

Four different programmes: the Discovery Programme, Para School Workshops, Policy & Development Hubs and Para Digital Academy.

One shared ambition: a Europe where more people have the opportunity to be active, participate in sport and belong.

Years later, Umut Ünlü left the Paris pool as a Paralympic champion. 🇹🇷

Born without arms or legs, he found freedom in the water and turned years of dedication into a moment of history.

Bjørk Nørremark stepped onto the runway in Paris knowing she needed something special. Then, on her final jump, she launched herself 5.76m into history.

A personal best. A Paralympic bronze medal. And a moment she will never forget. 🥉

From 11th in Tokyo to the podium in Paris, Bjørk kept pushing, kept believing and saved her biggest jump for the moment it mattered most.
