As the world gathers in Vienna for the 10th anniversary of the AUSTRIAN WORLD SUMMIT (The Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative) under the theme "We Are Unstoppable", we are proud to highlight the participation of Gottfried Pessl and the growing impact of the Africa Project.

The Summit is dedicated to turning climate ambition into action, a mission that aligns closely with the Africa Project’s focus on sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and community-driven solutions.

Gottfried Pessl’s presence at this milestone event reflects the importance of connecting global climate goals with local impact. Through innovation, partnerships, and long-term commitment, the Africa Project contributes to the kind of practical solutions the Summit champions.

📰 Stella Horizon EU Project and FORSAID Project joined forces in strengthening integrated approaches for the early detection and monitoring of canker stain disease on Evia Island.

The fieldwork focused on UAV-based data acquisition using hyperspectral and multispectral sensors, supported by systematic ground-truth observations.

We are delighted to have been invited to participate in the upcoming workshop jointly organized by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the Directorate‑General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI).

The event will bring together EU Member States’ plant health authorities and EU‑funded research projects developing innovative plant health surveillance technologies.

Dr. Denzer will attend the workshop in person on 18 June 2026 in Parma, Italy, held as part of the 7th EFSA Network Meeting on Plant Pest Surveillance (17–18 June 2026).

During the event, the iSCOUT POPILLIA insect camera trap, developed through the IPM Popillia EU H2020 project (No. 861852), will be presented.
