Our final entry and second headliner on the billing comes from Slovenia.

MOROST - Blackened Progressive Death Metal (SLO) Morost

Fast, melodic, technical, powerful, massive. These are just some words to describe the Quintet from Ljubljana. Once their unrelenting force is unleashed you will no longer be able to stand still and bang your head to the raw energy Morost unburdens onto the crowd.
An hopeless and introspected journey with dark, melodic and progressive musical compositions awaits!

Founded in 2010 Morost can look back on an already exciting past. Having played at various festivals like Metaldays (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022), Tolminator (2023), Kaltenbach Festival (2022) and Burn with Hate Festival (2026) or supporting bands like Behemoth, Psychonaut 4 or Meshugga.

With two critically acclaimed studio albums "Solace in Solitude" (2014) and "Forged Entropy" (2021) on their record we think that Morost is an excellent completion of our Line Up.

Our first headliner for this event comes from Graz.

PRYNE - Progressive Sludge (AT) PRYNE
The quartett from Graz are slowly making themselves a name in the modern metal scene by now. By supporting non other than Zeal and Ardor in Linz at Posthof and now playing with Poison Ruin at Arena in Vienna, the four talented musicians continue to grow their audience.
Defined by massive rhythms, heavy yet melodic riffs, and polyphonic vocals and inspired by bands such as Mastodon and Baroness, this band should definitely be on your bucket list!

Having released 2 E.P.s "U.PO." (live EP, 2022) and "Smol" (2025) and a full lenght studio album "Gargantuan" (2023) the bands creative process is ongoing and thriving.

Our third act comes from the deep crevasses of Salzburg's mountainous regions and will leave you with a sense of dread and hopelessness.

SVNTARER - Post Metal/Sludge (AT)
The metal duo draws their influence from black and post metal, merging these genres into a sound that is both intense and distinct.
Dissonant, heavy and atmospheric riffs ready to crush your bones and soul.

Their early material (The ardent weight of thoughts / Burnt into oblivion) leaned heavily into bleak, melancholic, and depressive atmospheres, while the new Songs on their recent release Exitus Triumphalis (2025 via FDA Records) take a more direct and sharpened approach, balancing aggression with atmosphere.

Our second band for the evening:

Iskariot - Melodic Black Metal (AT) Iskariot
ISKARIOT wants to set new standards within its genre by producing a unique style and direction of music. With groaning Black-metal vocals, melodic guitar riffs and hammering drums they are musically influenced by Der Weg einer Freiheit, Zeal and Ardor, Harakiri for the Sky, Dornenreich, and Agalloch.

Their latest release "Zelot" (released via Running Wild Productions on 8.11.2025) is a prime example of Melodic Black Metal done right.
Harsh and forceful parts intersect with slower, atmospheric ones engulfed by a melodic heavyness. You would not want to miss them!

Our first band announcement for Shredfest vol. 16

BEHIND THE MASK - Deathgrind (AT)
The Trio from Austria plays catchy riffs in combination with fast drums.
Their music is the right mix of Deathmetal, Grindcore and Hardcore. Fast-paced yet easy to follow and melodic. So bang your heads and get ready for some moshpits!
