Join us in hosting the next ROB|ARCH conference on robotic fabrication in architecture, art, and design! We've published an open Call for Conference Hosts at https://2023.robarch.org/
The previous editions in Vienna (2012) University of Michigan (2014), University of Sydney (2016) and ETH Zürich (2018) were great successes, with 2020 having been cancelled due to the pandemic - but now it's time to bring ROB|ARCH back! Get in touch if you have got any questions!

ZIEN is created in five days from the cooperation between iiwa and passers-by.
iiwa engraved during these days the portraits of the people on mirrors which are used to build the installation on the spot. In ZIEN the contact between the ministry and the outside world is central; people inside and outside the ministry want to be seen, heard and recognized. In view of the ongoing process of automation in government, the preservation of humanity is essential. ZIEN examines the relationship that we, as a society, want to have with technology. Creating a collective visual reminder of the need to maintain the connection and have an eye for the individual.

Ultimate Space
KAZAKHSTAN PAVILION – DUBAI EXPO 2020
Performance directed by Insglück

Invited to provide robotic solutions for the Kazakhstan Pavilion for the Dubai Expo 2020, the installation explores the synthesis of artificial intelligence, digital space and interaction with humans now and in the future. Creative Robotics was involved in the integration and preprogramed choreography of the large scale robot to perform in close contact with human performers over the course of the expo for live audiences.

It doesn't look huge, but actually has got 2.5m reach!
We just set up our new KUKA Iontec KR50R2500 (in white, with KRC5 controller) at our Creative Robotics lab at GRAND GARAGE and already like it a lot! Many new possibilities for large-scale additive processes, prototyping processes for craftspeople, choreographies based on motion capturing etc. - we're excited!

"Split Subject" is a Lacanian term in the notion of the Subject in Psychoanalisys. It is also known as "$" in Lacan's four forms of discourse.
Now, what if the interaction under the hood of Human Robot Interaction or HCI in general is rather the oposite?
Pehaps it is first the event of Splitting and then follows the Subject! In the oder words; the Subject is then product of splitting it to itself and nothing!

3D Printed planter stand
A demonstration object showcasing a 3D printing method developed during .pub research stay at Creative Robotics. The material used is PLA pellets, with nozzle size of 2.8 mm and layer height of 1.5 mm, and the total print time was 10:30. The object was printed in an inverted position, which enables all features to be manufactured in a single operation.  This method is a novel approach to out-of plane printing and the details will be published in a journal article.
