I am doing this series of a mini bts documentary to fight against perfectionism, overthinking and to push myself out of my comfort zone again & yes it wouldn’t be me to make it extra though… so the rules I invented are ->

🧚🏽♀️ NO music, no sfx (if than they have to be recorded by me), no flashy cuts, nothing of it & it has to be real … the story matters!

I celebrate another year around the sun ☀️ and I couldn’t be more happier & grateful for life and every one of you who is on this journey with me.
Oh how I like getting older, i feel like I’m learning so much and I get to experience more and I am just afraid of not having enough time for it all somehow, but to be honest I used to think I maybe never make it this far, because life’s challenges can be super overwhelming, but I learned that every challenge you overcome is a level up in life - same as in a videogame (& I love seeing & talking life in metaphors hihi)
I believe when we all shine our own light the world becomes a better place. There is so much I could write to be grateful for, but I think last but not least I want to thank me for always believing in me & for never giving up, because I think little Yvi would completely freak out to hear that we are doing everything to create the dream life she has always dreamt of and living it.
I’ve always been deeply fascinated by the life of monks and the way they think. Early on, I realized how powerful our thoughts are, because everything begins with a single thought. Recently, we sat down with a Bhutanese monk to explore the ancient wisdom of compassion and the reasons why we suffer in this world. We are incredibly grateful for this conversation with Lama and we hope you will walk away with something valuable too ♥️

What does it really mean to be present?
I found myself asking that question while spending time with monks. So I asked them “how can we in the western world could live a more present and happier life?”
His answer was simple but profound:
“Try to be here in the NOW, activate your senses & practice it.”
Being present isn’t just a thought its about activating all of your senses … To see, to smell, to taste, to hear, to feel whats here right now in front of you and not worrying about the past or planning ahead into the future.
It sounds simple, yet it changes everything.
What makes you feel present or what helps you? ✨

4. In Nepal: Playing guitar used to be my everything when I was a kid. It put me straight into a flow state - hours passed and my fingers hurt, but it somehow still makes my rockstar - heart happy every time I get to play a guitar.

5. We were sitting in a Restaurant at the beach in Australia ready to fine dine, when suddenly the rain stopped and the rainbow showed up. You have never seen me run so fast in my life to capture a moment. I just absolutely love Rainbows & the poetry behind it. I love the ocean, the waves & surfing.
6. Spreading blessings through the wind in Bhutan after we visited a Nunnery. Each flag has prayers, mantras, and sacred symbols printed on it. The belief is that when the wind blows, it carries those prayers into the air, spreading compassion, peace, and wisdom to all beings.

We drove straight into a snowstorm and I couldn’t stop smiling.
I never imagined I’d be here - where storms roll in without warning and sunshine shows up like it never left. We’re in the heart of Iceland and here are no signs of any civilization.
Most Icelanders don’t even get to experience this place in winter - it’s that hard to reach. You need cars with tires that are taller than me just to make it out here. But somehow, we did. Guided by the most incredible crew!
It feels like time has stopped. So remote, so far from everything, it’s almost unreal. Hard to put into words.
But here I am, in the middle of the Icelandic Highlands, surrounded by wonderful people.
And the best part? I get to capture all the magic we experience together - turning moments into memories, and memories into stories.
