Like a time portal to the golden age of psychedelic heavy blues rock, Vienna-based Portobello Express explore a sound rooted in the 60s and 70s, harnessing the unique, raw energy of that era while paying homage to their multicultural roots. Our album "B.P.M." is 3 years old today!👀
This album has many influences, ranging from to to .
It features special guests such as Fendahlene, Andy Abraham, Gernot Feldneras well as Edgar Lee Masters and Tschaikowsky!
Vocals, backing vocals and percussion are all down to Betty Nagl, but she has also taken on the bass and keyboard.
Patrick Slowhand, on the other hand, had delivered some of his best solos on this album, often at first take!
FYI, the cover artwork features a photo of Betty taken on stage while she was headbanging at a festival. As with many of our songs, the cover contains hidden quotes and references.
