Mistakes using the verb TO BE:
1. Put the wrong verb to be with a pronoun.
Example:
Susan and I AM good friends. ❌
Susan and I ARE good friends. ✔
The dogs IS outside. ❌
The dogs ARE outside. ✔
2. When we have to use it with "will future" we don't have to change it.
Example:
You will ARE late. ❌
You will BE late. ✔
3. In questions the verb to be always goes before the pronoun.
Example:
Where you ARE? ❌
Where ARE you? ✔
In general this structure is the easiest so you are going to learn it. Try to remember each pronoun with each verb to be (is - are - am).

To learn the VERB TO BE is easy. The fastest way is by repeating it continuosly: writing and completing sentences.

The verb to BE is the most used and the first verb that we should learn.
In present structures we know it as:
IS - ARE - AM
In past structures we know it as:
WAS - WERE
And in other structures we can see: WOULD BE - HAVE BEEN - WILL BE
There are 3 verb to BE in present tenses because of that:
I ------> AM
She / He / It ------> IS
They / We / You ------> ARE
Examples:
ARE you a good student?
My stepmother IS a great person.
I AM in Uruguay making a course.
There are 2 verb to BE in past tenses because of that:
I / He / She / It -----> WAS
They / We / You ------> WERE
Examples:
Today WAS a wonderful day.
My friends WERE with me in Brazil.

Here there are some of the most common mistakes with the PRESENT SIMPLE:
1) Forget to put -s or -es in the verbs using the third person:
Peter like golf ❌
Peter likes golf ✔
2) Confuse the Present Simple with the Present Continuous:
They are going to the cinema very often ❌
They go to the cinema very often ✔
3) Put in the wrong place every word:
In positive sentences we have to write: pronoun + adverb of frequency + verb
She eats always fruits ❌
She always eats fruits ✔
In questions the order is: auxiliary + pronoun + verb
You do work abroad? ❌
Do you work abroad? ✔
4) Forget that 'do' and 'does' are auxiliary verbs and verbs, so trust on you and don't hesitate:
Do you your homework at home? ❌
Do you do your homework at home? ✔
The best to learn is to practice 💪

Learning PRESENT SIMPLE meeting people.
Examples:
Where do you live? ----> I live in San Francisco.
Do you study? ----> No, I don't
Do you work? ----> Yes, I do
Where do you work? ----> I work in a bakery.
What do you do in your free time? ----> I like reading gossip magazines and watching TV. I go out with my friends every time I can too.
How often do you go eating out? ----> I usually go twice a month.
And something very important you have to remember when the pronoun is the third person (he-she-it):
•For verbs that in: -o, -ch, -sh, -ss, -x or -z, we add -ES at the end of it.
Examples:
Go: goes / Catch: catches / Watch: watches / Wash: washes / Fix: fixes / Buzz: buzzes
•For verbs that end in a consonant + Y, we remove the Y and add -IES
Examples:
Marry: marries / Study: studies
For verbs that end in a vowel + Y, we just add -SS.
Examples:
Play: plays / Enjoy: enjoys
Lo de arriba mencionado con las formas correctas de escribir los verbos cuando usamos la tercera persona del singular.

IDIOMS are groups of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words.
Los IDIOMS son un grupo de palabras que no se traducen una por una ya que no tendrían un significado lógico.
Equivalen a modismos o refranes que usamos en español.
Let's look at these examples:
