Atubuke Rural Development Foundation - ARDEV Foundation

Atubuke Rural Development Foundation is a non religious and nonpolitical movement, aiming at empowering marginalized grassroots level Men and Women from around Hwange through Men and Women's Forums, Building STRONG families through conducting Couple's Meetings and Equipping Youth through Skills Development. We are the people directly affected by the problems or issues of poverty in our community, therefore we feel we have to be actively and authentically participating in the efforts to fight poverty. This means that as affected people we are the major participants of the intervention to fight poverty in our families.

2. Create an organized group within the community to help many people rather than working with a few individuals. We believe it is more effective for us to collectively get organized and come up with actions to help, strengthen and empower ourselves and other vulnerable people in our communities, especially men, women and the youth. Together, we are Greater than poverty;

3. As affected people, we need to identify our own agendas. We feel It is more effective when issues and problems are identified by the people. They then begin to gain self-confidence and acquire capabilities in working together on simple issues and problems. This means that their initial efforts and experience can be used towards addressing more complex problems and issues.
