The inaugural ZNCC Leading Women Conversations was an overwhelming success as Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, Zimbabwe, Postal and Courier Services, Hon. Tatenda Anastasia Mavetera, for an engaging and inspiring conversation with women in business and leadership.

What made the session truly special was that Hon. Mavetera spoke not only as a Government Minister and leader, but also as Tatenda the daughter, granddaughter, wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She shared authentic experiences and practical wisdom on leadership, business, personal growth, social responsibility, and spirituality, leaving participants empowered with invaluable life lessons.

Some of the key takeaways from the discussion included:

✅ Character gives you the strategy to get where you want to be.
✅ Life is a script – understand it, internalize it, and master it.
✅ Sacrifice defines a leader.
✅ A leader should have a big ear and a small mouth.
✅ Respect is earned, reciprocated, and outlasts popularity.
✅ Always stand on the rock of integrity.
✅ Women should appreciate and support one another.
✅ Build an emotional gatekeeper system.
✅ Personal development is a necessity.
✅ Take time to rest, recharge, and refuel.
✅ Do what makes you happy and build both self-confidence and self-esteem.
✅ Your spiritual being shapes you into a great person – always remember to pray.
✅ Be alert to opportunities that benefit women.
✅ Embrace digitalisation and participate fully in the digital economy.
✅ Ensure your business remains compliant.
✅ Build meaningful networks – your network is your net worth.

The interactive session provided a safe and relaxed environment where participants openly engaged, asked personal questions, and gained practical insights that are rarely shared in everyday interactions.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Hon. Tatenda Anastasia Mavetera, the Permanent Secretary, and the entire Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services for taking time to engage with women in business and for graciously hosting this landmark event.

As aptly captured by the moderator, Dr. Faith Nyamukapa, attending the Leading Women Conversations was indeed the right decision as women connected, learned, engaged, and were greatly empowered.

This was only the beginning of a transformative journey of mentorship, networking, and empowerment. We look forward to more successful conversations ahead !!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stood with us as we laid our beloved colleague, Perpetua Guwila, to rest on Friday, 29 May, in Mutare, Manicaland.

It was a truly befitting farewell as mourners gathered in large numbers to pay their final respects. The occasion was not only a funeral but a celebration of a life well lived and a legacy that touched countless lives.

Perpe will be remembered as a unifier, a bold and visionary leader, a dedicated team player, and a vibrant soul whose passion for community development, entrepreneurship, and women’s economic empowerment inspired many. The void she leaves behind will be deeply felt, not only across Manicaland Province but throughout the nation.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Manicaland Provincial leadership, the ZNCC Presidium, the Executive, and all stakeholders whose support, presence, and acts of kindness brought comfort during this difficult time.

May the Holy Spirit continue to strengthen and comfort the Guwila family and all who were privileged to know and love Perpe.

May Perpetua’s dear soul rest in eternal peace.
