Social media is a tool that you can use to help you achieve your brand goals.

This means that your strategy should be informed by what you want to achieve in the short and long run.

It shouldn’t just be about follower and like counts, it should be about what you set out to do and aligned with what you want to be known for.

Are you conscious about the kind of person or organization you associate your brand with?

Defining your brand values will help you determine whether you should collaborate with a brand or not.

If their work, their messaging or even their past partnerships go against your values, you might harm your brand by collaborating with them.

People befriend people with shared values and people follow brands they realize have shared values.

Don’t confuse your audience.
