The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation scoops two awards "as the broadcaster of choice" at the 14TH edition of the SuperBrands Awards ceremony held at the Harare International Conference Centre this Friday.
ZBCâs Power FM was the first runner-up in the Electronic Media category, while Radio Zimbabwe was named the second runner-up in the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe-hosted awards.

Latest On Pregnant 9-Year-Old: Police Confirm 13-Year-Old Cousin Is The Father After DNA Results
In yet another shocking development in the case of the 9-year-old girl from Zimbabweâs Tsholotsho area who fell pregnant, police say DNA testing has revealed that a 9-year-old girl who gave birth at UBH recently was impregnated by her 13-year-old cousin brother, after having earlier interviewed her father as a suspect. Police say both children now "receiving counselling"
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) , paternity DNA test results have established that the victimâs 13-year-old cousin is the one who impregnated the 9-year-old girl.
Zimbabwe National Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed.
"The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms that the Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) results obtained from National University of Science and Technology on 25th November 2022, in connection with the paternity of the 9 year old girl's child have established that the victim's cousin brother (13) is the father of the child."
"The 9 year old complainant and the suspect will now receive the appropriate counseling from the Police's Victim Friendly Unit (VFU)."
"The Police is now working with other relevant arms of the government to ensure that the due processes of the law are followed."

Nine-year-old girl's father and four other suspects cleared by DNA results.
THE Zimbabwe Republic Police has widened the search for the suspect responsible for impregnating the nine-year-old girl from Tsholotsho who recently gave birth at United Bulawayo Hospital (UBH).
This comes after the girl's father and four other suspects were cleared by DNA results.
With the nine-year-old girl's father and four other close relatives having been removed from the suspect list, police are now on a manhunt for the person responsible for sexually abusing the underage girl.

Zim wins 5 gold medals at India-Africa hackathon
Five Zimbabwean students have bagged five gold medals at the UNESCO India Africa Hackathon that was being held at the Gautam Buddha University in Uttar Pradesh from November 22.
The event encouraged collaboration between studentsâ communities of India and African nations to develop ingenious and out-of-the-box strategies to tackle a variety of problems in various sectors. The hackathon allows the young innovators to come together and find solutions for social, environmental and technical problems faced by the collaborating nations. It also serves as the foundation for creating potential start-ups.
The gold medal winners are Nyasha Mandizvidza of the Great Zimbabwe University, whose Health and Hygine- themed project was titled, 'Under-utilisation and lack of mechanism of taking action based on partogram'.
Musindo Kahonde of the Midlands State University also came through with his project, 'Self care and routine check ups/ investigations for early identification of the complications of the diabetes mellitus'.
National University of Science and Technology's Daniel Chembesi had an education-themed project, a game-based digital learning application that teaches children about cyber security.
Frank Makeba of the Chinhoyi University of Technology also scooped gold with his agriculture-themed project, an artificial-based contact centre for farmers which understands more than 100 languages.
Another student, Bester Nokuthaba Sibanda of the National University of Science and Technology, had a drinking water and sanitation-themed project titled, 'a geo-spatial tool to support in decision making for a range of sanitation interventions in the cityscape'.
A total 18 local students from different Zimbabwean universities attended the competition which is sponsored by UNESCO.
