[03/19/14]   PRICE – Beware of cheaply priced virgin hair. Virgin hair can cost into the $100’s just for a 12 inch bundle of 100g. If the virgin hair is priced too cheaply it is NOT virgin hair or the genuine cuticle. Virgin hair is very time consuming and tiring process to harvest which is why it is reflected in the high prices that it sells for.

[03/19/14]   At the moment
the market is
flooded with so
many different
hair extensions
from different countries,
Brazilian,
Indian,
Peruvian,
Chinese, and so
many more it’s hard to know
which is
which. These
hair extensions
are known as virgin hair. A lot of my
clients have been coming to me with these so called
virgin ‘Brazilian hair’ or virgin ‘Indian hair’, but a
licensed hair stylist it’s clear to see the fakes from
the genuine. So ... what is virgin hair? Virgin hair is hair that is free from being processed with all the cuticles intact. Virgin hair is free from the following processes; chemical treatment, perming, dying, bleaching or colouring in any way. The hair is usually single drawn, meaning that there are different lengths within the weft. Virgin hair is the next level up from Remy hair, apart from being cuticle correct it has all the features stated above. Where does virgin hair come from? Virgin hair comes from a single donor (i.e. one person). The hair is tied back into a ponytail and then the pony tail is then cut. Each virgin hair ponytail should come from one person (i.e. one single donor). The reason for the ponytail cutting in this way is to keep the hair cuticles in one direction (Remy) preventing tangling and shedding. What happens to the virgin hair after it has been cut? The virgin hair after it has been cut is washed and disinfected and prepared into single drawn or double drawn wefts. What is the difference between hand tied and machine wefted hair? Hand tied wefts – are hair extensions that are wefted by hand. The advantage is that the hair lies flat and gives more of a natural look. The disadvantage of this is that the hair sheds and it is harder to sew the tracks onto the hair, as well as needing a lot more than machine wefted hair. Machine wefted – is hair extensions that are wefted by machine. The advantage is that the hair is reinforced multiple times by stitching for durability. The disadvantage of this is that it is difficult to cut the hair as it can cause shedding. Click Your Hair Deals to find the best prices on wefted hair. How much should come in a ponytail of virgin hair? In a ponytail of virgin hair should be approximately 100g – 115g, some suppliers may give you more but be wary, as it may have fillers, synthetic fibers or other animal hair mixed in with it. 200g – 300g of virgin hair is needed to complete a full head weave. 300g – 400g of virgin hair is needed to make the weave look full and bouncy 400g – 500g of virgin hair is needed if you are going for lengths longer than 18 – 20 inches of hair to make the hair look full and not scanty. So how do I tell whether the hair is real or fake virgin hair? Ask what colour the hair comes in? A way to find out whether the hair is real virgin hair is to ask the seller the colors that the hair is available in. If the supplier lists to you a range of colors this is NOT virgin hair. Virgin hair should come in a natural color of that country of origin, unless you have specifically asked the supplier to custom dye the hair for you.

[09/06/13]   Benefits of Using Virgin Brazilian Hair Extensions

Long hair cut styles are very much common. Long hair enhances the beauty of a woman. Most of the women like to have a long hair. But growth of hair is very slow rate of about little less or more than half inch per year and it is not under anyone’s will. What you will do if you want to have long hair? You can look for hair extensions. By using hair extensions you can get the desired long hair look within few minutes. You can get the curly, wavy, thick or any other stylish look using hair extensions. Mainly two types of hair extensions are available. One is virgin hair and another is non-virgin hair. There are lots of differences between these hairs.

Non-virgin hair extensions has been colored or treated with certain chemicals in order to provide natural look. On the other hand virgin Brazilian hair extensions have never been colored nor treated with chemicals. There is a difference between the costs of these hairs. As virgin extensions are natural so its cost is more than that of non-virgin hair extensions. Virgin Brazilian hair extensions are thick, soft, strong and beautiful. All hair type supports hair extensions so you can use any of hair styles with the hair extensions. Most popular one of the Brazilian hair extension is curly.

[09/06/13]   My Thoughts: Best Products for Virgin Brazilian Hair Extensions
We all know that buying extensions is the first step. But in order to get the best out of your investment, you have to use the right products to maintain the hair. I have used a wide variety of products (shampoo, conditioner etc) so I am narrowing it down to the products that worked best for me and those that didn't.

When I wanted to buy products for my Virgin Brazilian Hair Extensions, i assumed that more expensive products would yield better results but I was totally wrong. When I used Nexxus or Pantene products on my Virgin Brazilian Wavy Hair, it made the hair more frizzy and harder to manage so I would not recommend either brand for Virgin or Remy Hair Extensions.

I decided to try a more economical brand: Herbal Essences and it worked great.
I use Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Shampoo and Conditioner (which works great on wavy or curly hair).

I also use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration 2 in 1 Shampooo + conditioner as well Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner.

** Tip: I use the 2 in 1 as well as the conditioner together so I get double conditioning and it leaves my hair buttery soft**

I co-wash my hair more than I shampoo my hair. Co-washing keeps the hair moisturized and buttery soft. Co-washing means using only conditioner to wash your hair. Shampoo can be very drying so I avoid shampooing too often.

Also a leave-in-conditioner is a must. For that I use Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Split end Leave- in protector for long hair.

**What I love most about this leave-in treatment is that it doesn't leave the hair greasy or heavy unlike some other leave-in products**

For every day use, I would recommend Argan Oil.
I got my One 'n Only Argan Oil from Sally's Beauty for a little over $13 CAD (excluding tax). If there is no Sally Beauty in your area you can find it on Amazon or Ebay.

With the Argan Oil, you do not need alot. A little goes a long way :)
I apply a dime size amount of the Argan Oil onto my palm and massage it into the hair from the tips up (I do this everyday or every other day).
Argan oil can be applied on dry or damp hair. It smells great and controls frizz.

[08/12/13]   Virgin hair important using instruction:
Pls WASH the hair before you are going to use it and soak the hair into warm water with
hair conditioner for about half an hour then let it dry by itself, after that the hair will turn
out to be fantastic!
1. Wash your hair very 3-4days, before washing your hair plat the hair into two pieces. The Hair extensions do
not receive your natural scalp oils so you need to add moisture every wash. If you don’t moisturize your hair
extensions they will become brittle and break easily leading to split and ratty ends.
2. Do Not use any product that contains protein, silicone or Sulfur for washing the hair.
3. Ensure you brush out all knots before you wash your hair, swim, or sleep. Start at the bottom and work your
way up slowly using a soft brush.
4.Soak the hair into warm water with hair conditioner or shampoo for half an hour.
5. When washing the hair, always wash it going in downward motion. Do not mix it all together as it will create
unnecessary tangles.
6. To dry, absorb water with a towel Wrap, then leave it dry by itself , never dry with a scrubbing action.
7. Before brushing the hair, put leave in conditioner in it as this will make it easier to brush when the hair is
dry, use oil serum if necessary.
8. Using a soft brush, start at the bottom and work your way up slowly.
9. For curly extensions only brush it when it’s wet, do not brush the hair whilst it is dry.
10. Before sleeping make sure you brush the hair out and tie it into a pony tail or plat it into two pieces.
11. With the summer weather you will not want to miss out in dips in the pool or ocean because of your new
hair. Carefully
comb out any tangles that may be present. Starting from the bottom and working your way up. Once the hair
has been
detangled tie it into a pony tail or plat into two pieces.
12. Following your swim, be sure to wash your hair immediately to remove any damaging chemical.
13. For bonded hair (glue extension), do not blow dry or apply heat over adhesives.

[07/25/13]   Maintaining Virgin Hair: It's is very important to maintain and treat your natural hair extensions with the appropriate care and maintenance that will restores its life span, natural softness and keep it tangle-free.
Detangle your hair:
Before shampooing your hair ensure that the hair is free of tangles or snares. Using a wide tooth comb brush the hair from bottom to top small sections at a time. The more careful you treat your extensions the longer they will last.
Support and hold your attachment (weft) when brushing or combing your hair
Shampoo/Conditioner:
Wash your hair at least once a week with good quality shampoo and conditioner and dry the hair naturally using a towel or soft dry cloth. If the hair feels dry or heavy it is time to shampoo Heat is the hair biggest enemy. The more you use on it, the shorter the life span of your hair. Do not use excessive heat for drying the hair or for styling which result in damaging the texture of hair
Sleep: Put your hair "straight up" at night, Plait or pin curl your hair before going to sleep. This is most important in preventing tangles and shredding.
Never sleep with loose wet hair

[07/25/13]   reason women everywhere, including celebrities, chose Brazilian Virgin hair extensions is because of its shelf life. Brazilian Hair extensions can last up to a year when cared for properly. Gels, mouse, and style products shouldn't be applied by anyone other than a stylist. But, heat and even dyes can be safely applied for a beautiful, customized look. "I have clients who buy our Brazilian Virgin hair and have their stylists dye the extensions from red to platinum blonde. The hair, because it hasn't been processed before, always has a natural and healthy result
