What a truly incredible wedding anniversary dinner we had at Restaurant JDB last Thursday night! A HUGE thank you to Johannes, the Executive Chef and co-owner of this amazing establishment and his lovely wife Kyla. Our every need was seen to on our special night and Johannes gave us a culinary experience beyond our wildest expectations! This little restaurant tucked away in the heart of Kambanji is a delightful haven, a place where one can sit down at the end of a busy day, relax with an icy cocktail and embark upon a sensory journey of taste, sight and smell with Johannes’ incredible cuisine. Here is a place where we see contemporary fine dining taken to another level. What a treat for us and we will be back again very soon!

He made his first appearance on our page in our box videos! However Kudzi has been part of the JDB family long before these walls became our home. From making items to sell at markets to private functions in many kitchens across Harare, he has been with us through it all.

Today you will find him next to Chef Johannes on the pass making sure each and every dish that arrives at your table looking as beautiful as the last.

Meet Farai

Farai moved back to Zimbabwe to join Johannes is his culinary revolution adventure.

Farai worked as Johannes’s sous chef in Johannesburg for 5 years. He was part of their award winning team and brings all that experience to the table here at Restaurant JDB.

You are bound to meet him at your table at some stage through the evening, but if that’s not enough go say hi at the pass!
