Focusing on mental health care can increase productivity, enhance our self-image, and improve relationships. It doesn’t just improve our daily functioning, but it can also help us control — or at least combat some of the physical health problems directly linked to mental health conditions. For example, heart disease and stress are related, so managing stress might have a positive outcome on heart disease and promote a healthy lifestyle.

The root cause of gender-based violence is gender inequality. Work to change attitudes, or questioning gender roles and stereotypes that make gender-based violence acceptable in society. This can be done through organising campaigns, peer-to-peer education, providing accessible information about what gender-based violence is and furthering gender equality and human rights education for everyone

The Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) has taken a lead among parastatals in safeguarding the health and wellness of its employees by partnering ZAPSO in providing workplace wellness interventions.

ZAPSO recently trained Workplace Wellness Peer Educators for ZINWA, who represented all their departments, marking the Authority's illustration of a commitment in the well- being of their staff. This is one of their preliminary steps in ensuring a healthy workforce and surrounding communities, as well as ensuring desired productivity, in what is evident to be a perpetual journey in this decent cause.

The training was held at ZINWA School of Excellence (ZSE), Tugwi-Mukosi Dam in Masvingo

Poor rural households are highly exposed to shocks since their livelihoods depend on an
increasingly deteriorated natural resource base and on often volatile climatic and market
conditions. The combination of exposure and vulnerability to
shocks can make rural people poor, keep them poor, or prevent them from moving out of poverty. When shocks occur, people employ a range of coping strategies, which often involve incurring
debt or selling assets, leaving individuals vulnerable to future shocks. To achieve poverty eradication, special focus is needed on strengthening the resilience of
poor rural households and their livelihoods to shocks.
