Here are the “NEW” penalties you will incur when you commit different traffic offenses in Zimbabwe

🇿🇼 DRIVER'S LICENCE OFFENCES

● No Driver’s Licence – $20
● Provisional Driver unsupervised – $20
● Provisional Driver w/ supervisor who can't control – $20
● Provisional carrying passengers on motorcycle – $20
● Driving PSV with provisional licence – $20 (halved if licenced on similar class non-PSV)
● No “L” Plates – $10
● Incorrect size/shape/colour of “L” plate – $10
● Fail to remove “L” plate (when not a learner) – $10
● Driving PSV without medical endorsement – $20
● Fail to produce licence after conviction – $20
● Allow unlicensed driver to drive – $20
● Give false info when applying for licence – $20

🚦 SIGNS, SIGNALS & MARKINGS
● Fail to obey traffic signs/signals – $10
● Fail to obey right turn arrow – $10

🐄 ANIMAL & PEDESTRIAN SAFETY

● Allow animals to stray onto road – $10
● Leave animal-drawn vehicle unattended – $10
● Ride motorbike >2 abreast – $10
● Vehicle left running unattended – $10
● No control of vehicle – $15
● Fail to stop/slow near animals – $15
● Let people ride on bumpers/bonnet – $15
● Person seated illegally in front – $10
● Disobey police traffic signal – $15

⚠️ ACCIDENTS & POLICE INSTRUCTIONS

● No Insurance – $10
● Fail to stop after serious accident – Court
● Fail to stop after minor accident – $20
● Refuse to give name/address – $20
● Fail to report minor accident – $20
● Disobey police officer’s instructions – $20
