Challenge yourself to climb the highest peak in North Africa!
“I had the most amazing experience trekking Mount Toubkal in April. Radouane is an impeccable organiser and made sure the entire two-day trip went as smoothly as possible - transfer from Marrakech to Imlil included. My guide Mohammed helped me to reach the spectacular summit just after sunrise, and guided me back down safely. It was a challenging but rewarding tour (no climbing experience required, but good basic fitness advised). The refuge is kept simple but has everything necessary - the food was excellent. This tour was the highlight of a very eventful Morocco trip. If you consider climbing Mount Toubkal I can highly recommend you to book the experience with Radouane!”

Uganda the "Pearl of Africa"
Geographically Uganda is the source of Nile River, contains the biggest lake and the third highest peak in Africa. With its tropical rainforests (containing majestic waterfalls, countless bird and primate species), its scenic savannas (with vast herds of grazing animals and predators), and its fast-paced city/rural life (diverse tribal culture, delicious food, extremely friendly and fun locals creating a tempting city atmosphere) Uganda is an ideal travel destination for those seeking a variety of diverse experiences all within arms reach.
Uganda is uniquely diverse with varied scenery and rich biodiversity, all in a relatively small area. At first glance, the country is characterized by a green and hilly landscape, but as you travel around, the country reveals its unique characteristics. Africa’s third highest peak can be found within the Rwenzori mountains, which are easily accessible for hiking excursions and are a natural habitat for many endangered species; leopards, forest elephants, chimpanzees, colobuses, blue monkeys and many more... Waterfalls, lakes, glaciers and stunning views of snow-capped mountains make the hike even more enjoyable.
For a change of scenery visit one of the famous national parks: Queen Elizabeth is the most well-known savannah reserve with five completely different biomes and the broadest diversity of wildlife. The variety of habitats include grassland savannah, forests, wetlands and lakes. A hidden gem and a bucket list experience for many who visit the continent is the Kidepo Valley National Park. Characterized by endless savannas, exactly how you imagined it from the Lion King. You have the chance to see the Big Five as well as many other endangered grazing animals, predators and bird species. Uganda is famous for its tropical forests which are possible to visit. The two most famous are the Kibale National Park; home to a grand total of 13 primate groups, numerous mammals and a plethora of colourful bird species and the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park; features one of the last mountain gorilla habitats on Earth.
Water and lakes are also a significant element of the country’s diversity. Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa and overall the third by volume in the world. The lake serves as a great travel destination for several reasons: visit the beautiful small islands of the lake (Ukrewe, Rubondo and Ukara island), try some of the several water sports. Those loving extreme sports, white-water rafting in Jinja at the source of the Nile, or abseiling at the Sipi Falls are great adventures. Next to the Sipi Falls (the most famous destination for waterfalls) is the Murchison Falls National Park, rich in wildlife (Nile crocodile, 450 bird species) and is also one of the most picturesque places in Uganda with the Nile exploding through a narrow gorge.
The culture and people of Uganda are as diverse as its nature. The country is home to distinct tribes with different languages, rituals/customs, and ceremonies. As a remarkable cultural experience visit the once famous warriors, the Karamojong, who are now following a traditional pastor-herder lifestyle in the Northeast region. In contrast to the more traditional countryside the bustling capital, Kampala, can be very chaotic, but definitely worth a visit for its cultural and historical sites, including the not to be missed Bahai Temple. Kampala is built on 7 hills, all having different names, picturesque views and distinct characteristics. Depending on the district one can find skyscrapers, laid-back cafés and restaurants or bustling local markets alongside busy minibus stations. Foodies will find a variety of tantalizing eateries in Kampala and Uganda including; street food such as grilled chicken or “Rolex” (that does not mean the watch brand in Uganda!), a mixture of local, western and even Asian restaurants. Arts and crafts markets feature beautiful paintings, colorful handmade baskets, paper bracelets and unique clothes made from the locally produced textiles.
Lastly, you will realize Uganda foremost is all about the people. You will meet friendly and warm people with a great sense of humor to cheer you up at all times. Be prepared to show off your dancing skills, for no matter if you are at a traditional ceremony, in a local restaurant/bar in the evening or at a club during the night you can be sure that people will want to dance with you all the time!
