Alumni Spotlight: Teza K. Sikasote | Class of 2021

At Trident College, we believe in preparing students not only for university, but for life. Teza K. Sikasote's journey is a powerful example of what can be achieved when academic excellence is matched with personal growth and ambition.

After graduating his A Levels in 2021, Teza went on to study and completed a Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree at the University of Lusaka and is now preparing to begin his final year of medical school in pursuit of his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.

During his final year, Teza served as the Head Boy of Trident College. He credits the school with helping him develop into an all round individual. Beyond academic and athletic achievements, the college provided a profound space for personal growth. Serving in multiple leadership capacities throughout his stay, it taught him the true meaning of selflessness, instilling in him the maturity and discipline necessary in one of the most demanding fields of study.

Even after graduating, Teza remains deeply connected to the college community by actively giving back to the next generation. Whether he is representing the school at official marketing events to inspire prospective students, or returning to the sports fields to support and mentor current athletes, his alumni involvement is a testament to his ongoing commitment to the school's legacy.

Today, as he moves closer to a career in medicine, Teza reflects on the lasting impact of his time at Trident and the foundation it provided for his academic and personal success.

The Countdown to Trident Festival 2026 is ON!

Excitement is building across Trident College as we look ahead to one of the year's most anticipated celebrations, taking place from the 3rd to 5th July 2026.

Recently, 23 Trident students represented the College at the Zambia Model UN in Chisamba, alongside delegates from 17 schools across Zambia and Zimbabwe. Competing in committees including ECOSOC, WHO, UN Women, the African Union, G20, and the ICJ, they demonstrated outstanding confidence, leadership, and critical thinking.

Alumni Spotlight: Zoe Francomb | Class of 2017

From the boarding life of Trident College to the creative world of industrial design in Europe, Zoe Francomb’s journey reflects independence, adaptability and the value of a strong academic foundation.

After graduating in 2017, Zoe went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Industrial Design at Strate École de Design in Lyon, France. Today, she works as a freelance Industrial Designer, currently between countries and navigating international opportunities and visa transitions.

Although her university studies were not directly linked to her A Level subject combination, Zoe highlights that it was A Level French that became the most important bridge in her academic journey. It enabled her to reach the language proficiency required to study and succeed in French, ultimately shaping her ability to pursue her degree and career internationally.

Zoe credits Trident College with building a strong sense of independence and responsibility. Her experience in boarding life, alongside leadership roles as Head of Las Cruces House and a school prefect, helped her develop confidence, discipline and the ability to manage responsibility from an early stage.

One of Zoe’s proudest personal achievements is becoming fully bilingual, with a near-native French accent—an outcome she sees as central to both her personal and professional identity, even without formal awards attached.

Zoe’s advice: Don’t be afraid to go for opportunities that push you out of your comfort zone.

Recently, our AS Level Biology students brought their studies to life through the dissection of a cow's heart, exploring its valves, vessels, muscles, and tendons firsthand. One of the most fascinating discoveries? A tendon just a few millimetres thick is strong enough to support the weight of the entire heart.

These hands-on learning experiences are a key part of what makes a Trident education distinctive and impactful. They inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and encourage students to see science not just as a subject but as a way of exploring and understanding the world around them.

Fresh from an incredible weekend of competition, Trident College has retained the ISAZ National Athletics Championship, finishing 1st overall, while our boys were crowned ISAZ National Hockey Champions with a hard-fought victory in the final. Our girls also demonstrated outstanding resilience, finishing their campaign with determination and pride.

These achievements reflect the talent, commitment, and winning spirit that make the Trident community so special. And the excitement is only just beginning.
