WE SHALL NOT PROMISE YOU HEAVEN ON EARTH

Fellow Kalumbila residents bena lumwana, Manyama, shinda, Mukumbi , Meheba,Lumwana east, mutanda just to mention but a few.

country men and women, this morning I want to take a moment to remind you of the importance of our vote on August 13th. As we work tirelessly towards the development Kalumbila deserves, let's make a wise decision that'll shape our future.

"Leadership is not about being in power, it's about empowering others" - Unknown. That's exactly what Hon. Chilayi embodies - a leader who empowers, listens, and acts with love and humility.

A man full of humor, kindness, and a heart for the people, Hon. Chilayi is more than just a leader - he's a brother, a friend, and a champion for our community. Those who met and interacted with Hon Chilayi can testify about how his powerful his vision for kalumbila is.

His track record speaks for itself: humble, hardworking, and dedicated to uplifting Kalumbila. He is a man who has contribute much to the Kalumbila district we have today.

"The power is in your hands, use it wisely" - Unknown. On August 13th, let's exercise that power and vote for a leader who truly cares about our well-being. Let's choose Hon. Chilayi, the man who'll work tirelessly for Lumwana. It's not only this Lumwana is a new Constituency which needs someone who has a big heart for the people.

We don't want leaders who forget why people voted for them, leaders who can't pick up calls when gets into power, leaders who will see you as strangers when you knock to their offices, a leader who will see you as a beggar when you stop them on the road, leaders who won't see how much you've served in your service, where your dedication goes unnoticed, where your qualifications becomes invisible to them, where your application letters will become cleaning materials on their tables we need a leader who will stand for us in bad and good times.

We as team Chilayi we are not here to promise you heaven on earth but to change the narrative and rewrite a story of Lumwana constituency.
Bringing real change that someone deserves.
We need a leader who will respect our local leaders and that's our culture.

Yes many will come but not everyone will deliver, this morning we bring for you Hon Chilayi mwana wabantu, mwana wamunzubo.

"Vote for the future you want to see".

FROM BUS CONDUCTOR TO PRESIDENT

Frederick Chiluba (1943–2011) rose from humble beginnings as a bus conductor to become one of Zambia’s most influential political leaders.

He later entered formal employment and became deeply involved in trade unionism, eventually rising to lead the Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU), representing the interests of workers across the country.

At a time when United National Independence Party (UNIP), under Kenneth Kaunda, dominated Zambia’s political landscape with the slogan “Kumulu Lesa, panshi Kaunda,” Chiluba remained outspoken and unshaken, consistently advocating for workers’ rights—even when it brought him into direct confrontation with the establishment.

As calls for political change intensified, the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) was formed to challenge UNIP’s rule. Chiluba emerged as the leading figure and was chosen to head the movement.

In the historic October 31, 1991 general elections, Chiluba won by a landslide—securing approximately 80% of the vote—and defeated President Kaunda.

On November 2, 1991, he was sworn in as Zambia’s Second Republican President, marking a dramatic and inspiring journey from bus conductor to Head of State.

His story reminds us that humility, focus, and determination can take you far in life. Above all, putting God first in everything you do can guide your path and shape your destiny.

Always be humble in life
