The wildlife is picking up condition rapidly after the harsh dry season and it is exciting to see healthy youngsters in most herds.

There are few animals in the African wilderness that can match the character that an old Buffalo bull possesses!

This solitary old warrior spends much of his time in a small territory along the Mbulungu stream, within easy reach of ample water, mud and grazing and way from the attentions of the younger breeding bulls.

Kudu bulls are often referred to as "Grey Ghosts" for their amazingly ability to remain well-hidden and seemingly disappear in the blink of an eye, when seen.

This magnificent mature bull certainly lives up to this moniker and appeared and disappeared, only allowing a fleeting photograph!

Our Kudu are flourishing, and it is common to see numerous different groups of females and their young, whilst out exploring the reserve. With these big bulls also making an appearance from time to time.
