I stood before the mirror,
and it showed me something beautiful
a face untouched by storms,
a heart that seemed whole,
a life that looked perfectly red and ripe.
But the mirror was lying.
Behind the smile lived a different story,
one bruised by days no one witnessed,
wounded by words no one heard,
slowly rotting beneath the skin
while I kept saying, “I’m fine.”
People admired the reflection,
never asking about the apple
standing outside the glass.
They saw the shine,
but never the scars.
They praised the strength,
but never saw what it cost
to remain standing.
Maybe that is what we do
we become beautiful reflections
of lives that are quietly falling apart.
Inked Emotions
I Love you and I think I have known for a while. It's been on the tip of my tongue, but I was afraid that you’ll run.
And maybe not literally but I was afraid it would scare you to hear me say that I LOVE YOU.
Though at this point I can’t hide the fact that I do. I can’t hide my feelings from you I can’t keep pretending that it’s not true. So there it is. I have fallen in love with you. I have fallen in love with the way your heart touches mine the way you listen to me and your eyes shine the way you make me feel so seen and cared for you make me feel like am on cloud nine.
And I’ve never felt this way before, I’ve never felt so safe and secure I’ve never loved someone and been so sure.
So thank you for existing. You’re an incredible human being
In English, we say, "I love you." In poetry, we say,
"Every beat of my heart whispers your name."
I never knew one person could mean so much until I met you. Your smile became my peace, your voice became my favorite sound, and your happiness became a prayer I quietly make every day. Even on the days we're apart, my heart still finds its way back to you.
If I had a thousand words, they still would not be enough to tell you how much you mean to me. So instead, I'll love you in my actions, in my prayers, in my patience, and in every moment I choose you. Because some love is too deep to fit into three words.
it is a lifetime written one heartbeat at a time.
