Photographer invites red squirrel to a chess game

Award-winning wildlife photographer Geert Weggen has captured the incredible moment of his intimate interaction with a red squirrel. Weggen was able to set up the props, attract the curious creature and even invite it to a chess game after years of building trust with animals that live in the woodland near his home.

-Children often turn to substance abuse as a way of escaping the harsh realities of life on the street.

-Street children face stigma and discrimination as they are labelled as criminal vagrants. Periodical round-ups, and brutality from the police, reinforce street children’s criminalisation, and prevent these children from gaining the support and rehabilitation they need.
