‎Kalata Kwa Upcomer.
‎Pamene ugona,Here is Why you should NOT give up

‎Abale and alongo, I know it’s heavy right now. But here’s the truth no one tells you early:
‎
‎Every artist you love almost quit too.
‎Burna,Yo maps, Macky2, Chef 187,Na ine wamene we all had 2-3 years of nobody listening. The only difference between us and people who quit? is that we stayed 1 year longer.
‎Your "overnight success" is 5 years in the making.
‎Nobody is coming to save you👊
‎Labels, bloggers, DJs... they only notice you when you’re already moving.
‎So keep dropping. Keep posting. Keep performing for 10 people. That’s how you build proof.
‎
‎The song that flops is teaching you.
‎Every bad song, every empty show, every ignored DM is data.
‎Song 1 was practice. Song 10 was okay. Song 25? That’s the one that blows.
‎If you quit at song 8, you’ll never meet song 25.
‎Your story is the music
‎People don’t just stream beats. They stream struggle → hope → win.
‎The days you feel like giving up now will be the lyrics people cry to later.
‎Don’t rob the world of that song.
‎"Consistency beats talent"
‎There are talented artists who gave up. There are average artists who didn’t quit and are now eating.
‎Show up > Be perfect.Post, record, perform, repeat.
‎Remember this:Quitting guarantees you fail. Staying gives you a chance.
‎The industry doesn’t need another artist who quit. It needs YOU who didn’t.

‎For Upcomer👇
‎How to create a strong foundation as an upcoming musician.
‎Think of it like building a house. Hits are the roof. But without foundation, the roof collapses.chofunika kwambiri ni ichi👇
‎
‎1. Foundation of SKILL
‎Master your craft first, Voice/instrument, songwriting, stage presence. Practice daily even with no audience.
‎Find your sound: Don’t copy. What makes YOU different? Zambia has dancehall, amapiano, hip hop, kalindula. What’s your twist?
‎Record consistently: Phone recordings are fine. 1 new song/demo per month keeps you sharp.
‎
‎2. Foundation of BRAND
‎- Know who you are: Name, look, story, message. "The broke but talented artist from kanyama" is a brand.
‎Pick 1-2 platforms: TikTok + Facebook OR IG + YouTube. Post 2-3x per week. Process videos, covers, freestyles, life.
‎Professional look: Free Canva cover art. Clear phone videos. Name on all songs. People take you serious when you look serious not uoneka j***y j***y 😂.
‎
‎3. Foundation of PEOPLE
‎-Build your 100 true fans: Reply to every comment/DM. They’ll buy tickets, share, stream later.
‎Network with other artists/producers: Collab. Trade verses. Share studios. You grow faster together.
‎Get around people who book shows: DJs, event organizers, promoters in chipata/Lusaka. Be at open mics, church events, school shows osakula mutu fast😂.
‎
‎4. Foundation of BUSINESS
‎Own your music: Record, save files, write lyrics down.
‎Learn 3 money streams early: Performances, streaming/YouTube, features/merch. Don’t wait to be "big".
‎Reinvest small money: K500 from a gig → K250 for better beat, K250 wagulako navovala vanzeru.
‎
‎5. Foundation of MINDSET
‎Consistency > Virality: 1 song every 2 months for 1 year beats 1 viral song and then silence.
‎No budget ≠ No movement: Use free tools. Document your journey. People love "from zero" stories.
‎Protect your peace: Ignore hate. Compare yourself to you last month, not to artists with labels

‎Alola upcoming 👑
Kodi kupanga hit song kuli simple or difficult?
‎
‎Truth is: IT'S BOTH.
‎
‎Why Nichovuta 👇
‎1. The competition is crazy
‎ 100,000+ songs drop on Spotify/TikTok every day. To stand out, your song has to be 10x better or 10x different.
‎2. A hit = Talent + Timing + Luck komanso ulemu.
‎ You can write a perfect song, but if the vibe/trend isn’t right that month, people won’t catch it. Hits catch a moment.
‎3. You need more than music
‎ Beat alone won’t do it. You need content, promo, visuals, and people to keep playing it. That’s the hard part when you have no money/team.
‎4. People decide in 3 seconds
‎ If your intro/hook doesn’t grab them on TikTok/Reels, they skip. Making something that addictive is hard.
‎This is also the reason why I have decided to drop songs less than 3min in my next upcoming MALILIME ALBUM.
‎Why it CAN BE SIMPLE 👇
‎1. Simple = Repeatable
‎ Most hits have 3 things: Catchy hook, simple beat, relatable lyrics. Don’t overthink it. If people can sing it after 1 listen, you’re close.E.g ACHEMBERE By Dj Nduna ft ine pano 😂
‎2. The tools are free
‎ Phone + free beat + TikTok = You can reach millions without a label. 10 years ago that was impossible.we used to move up and down with CDs pa town center lol.
‎3. Authenticity wins
‎ You don’t need big words or perfect vocals. People connect to real stories. Sing about what everyone is feeling but can’t say A BOSS OCHEDWA KUFOLESA SATE IKAFIKA GALU IBALUME.
‎4. One song can change everything
‎ You don’t need 20 hits. You need 1 song that people can’t stop playing. Then the rest becomes easier Kandolo, igipito,KAPOLO SAKWIYA etc......
‎The Real Advice:
‎Make it SIMPLE to make, but DIFFICULT to ignore.
‎Focus on:
‎1.Hook first -make a sing along type of hook
‎2.Be consistent - 1 hit comes after 10 "okay" songs. Keep dropping
‎3. Push it like it’s your last
‎"A good song with no push = BURIED.
‎"chi nyimbo chaupuba with crazy push= HIT.
