Africa day! This day is celebrated for the independence of African countries and unity of African culture. In Zambia it is celebrated on the 25th of May. .

If you want to get the taste of Zambian local life I (rafiki/friend) will give you the opportunity to meet up with people from the compounds and/or have a night at their family homes. For instance join women at the compound market, grinding herbs and selling vegetables or other groceries while chatting about everyday experiences. Help preparing food, taking care of the children.
