🌳 Protect Our Forests: Every Tree Counts! 🌲
Did you know?!
Forests cover about 30% of Earth's land surface and absorb over 2 billion tons of CO2 annually? They're not just lungs of the planet they're homes to 80% of terrestrial biodiversity. But we're losing them at an alarming rate: 10 million hectares per year to deforestation.

Together we can fight the climate change
GOVERNMENT CALLS FOR COLLECTIVE ACTION TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE
Government has called for strengthened regional cooperation, investment in national meteorological services and people-centered climate services.
Minister of Green Economy and Environment, Mike Mposha, said there is need for deepening cross-border collaboration by sharing data, pooling resources and exchanging expertise.
Speaking during the official opening of the 31st Southern Africa Regional Climate Outlook Forum, Mr Mposha, who was represented by his Permanent Secretary, Douty Chibamba, noted that the collective approach will enable the region to better prepare for and respond to climate related disasters.
He urged stakeholders to commit to closing the early warning gap, strengthening cooperation, and protecting vulnerable communities from climate-related disasters.
Mr Mposha said there is also need for enhanced collaboration to build resilience against climate-related disasters and provide critical data and forecasts for disaster preparedness, agricultural planning, and water management.
