Acquiring knowledge through personal experience without guidance is ill-advised, as valuable insights can be gleaned from mentorship. When studying scripture with your pastor, it is equally important to heed their counsel. Claiming 'Scripture alone is sufficient' demonstrates a misguided approach.
The Apostle Paul exhorted Timothy to attentively follow his doctrine, conduct, trials, and ministry. Focusing solely on scripture while dismissing guidance, caution, and correction is short-sighted. Observe your pastor's actions and inquire about their methods, relationships, and priorities. A diligent student will thoroughly follow both biblical teachings and pastoral guidance.
