​At approximately 20:00, members of SBA PROTECT and Verulam Tracing Team were dispatched following reports of a house robbery in progress in Verulam.

Upon arrival, SBA PROTECT members met with the homeowner to assess the situation. The homeowner confirmed that they were held up by three Bravo male, all armed.

​An undisclosed amount of cash and multiple household items were taken. ​A getaway vehicle belonging to the property was also stolen.

‼️INCIDENT REPORT: SHOOTING - ZWELISHA‼️

Location : Gwala Road, Zwelisha

​At approximately 19:38, members of SBA Protect were notified regarding a shooting incident that had occurred in the Zwelisha area. Responding members immediately dispatched and made their way to the scene.

​Upon arrival, members conducted an initial assessment and established that a Bravo Male victim had been shot dead outside of his residence.

​A physical sweep of the scene revealed two pieces of ballistic evidence:

​One (1) spent cartridge case (shell).
​One (1) live, undischarged round of ammunition.

​The circumstances and motive leading up to the shooting remain unknown at this stage, as witnesses and individuals involved are currently hesitant to come forward with information.

‼️INCIDENT REPORT: ARMED ROBBERY IN WATERLOO‼️

​Location: Waterloo Primary School Road, Waterloo

​At approximately 21:00, members of SBA Protect were notified regarding an armed robbery in progress on Waterloo Primary School Road in the Waterloo area. Responding units were immediately dispatched to the scene.

​Upon arrival, SBA Protect members linked up with members of the SAPS Tracing Team, and MNP Protection services.

It was established that multiple Bravo Males with Two (2) Volkswagen Polos, white in color, registration numbers unknown, stormed a local shop and held it up at gunpoint.

The suspects successfully fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and multiple store items.

No casualties or physical injuries have been reported at this stage.
​
The scene was secured by responding security forces and SAPS for further processing.
​
The matter is under investigation by the relevant authorities.

*‼️TACTICAL BREACH AND ARREST: ILLEGAL FIREARM LINKED TO MALVERN CASE RECOVERED IN PARGATE OPERATION‼️*

At approximately 22:06, members of SBA PROTECT received a distress call about SAPS members in danger and in need of immediate assistance after being shot at.

Members of SBA PROTECT, along with other security companies, rushed to Totemham road in Pargate near the Pargate taxi rank.

Upon reaching the location, they found SAPS members who reported being fired upon by an India Mike while on patrol.

After gathering information, the SAPS members led the team to the suspect's hiding place.

The teams breached the suspect's house and apprehended the suspect

Suspect was handed over to Verulam SAPS.

A firearm was discovered hidden between the mattresses, confirming that it was used in a crime in a Malvern cas # # # in 2021.

Well done to all members involved

The recovered items were booked into saps13, and further investigations are currently underway

*‼️SUSPECT LINKED TO MULTIPLE SEXUAL ASSAULTS APPREHENDED AFTER COMMUNITY CHASE‼️*

In response to a request from the community, members of SBA PROTECT were dispatched to a school ground where a male suspect was reported to be responsible for several sexual assaults on the premises.

The suspect was seen targeting another unsuspecting female before fleeing on foot through a dense bush.

Despite a chase by members, he could not be found until MOP captured 2 suspects.

After being detained, the suspects confessed that the firearm they had been carrying was discarded during his escape and was actually a replica.

The suspects are believed to be connected to other sexual assault cases.

The suspects have been handed over to SAPS for further investigation.
