Flashback to Term 2 Social!

On the 8th of May 2026, our TKLC students had an unforgettable Term 2 Social!
The morning kicked off with an energetic boxing session at Champs Boxing Academy, where the students challenged themselves, learned new skills, and had plenty of laughs along the way. There were definitely a few future boxing champions in the making!

After all that action, we wrapped up the day with some well-deserved burgers and chips at Crawdaddy’s.

A huge thank you again to Champs Boxing Academy for hosting such a fun and engaging session, and to Crawdaddy’s for the delicious food and relaxed atmosphere.
These socials are a perfect reminder that school isn’t just about learning — it’s about connection, confidence, friendship, and making memories together. ✨

Math in Action at TKLC!

Today, our students got hands-on with measurement in a special impromptu lesson led by our amazing Math tutor! They explored weight, distance, and volume using practical activities, making abstract concepts real.

It was fantastic to see everyone engaged and discovering how measurement applies to everyday life. Learning by doing always makes math stick!

A huge thank you to our tutor for making math interactive, practical, and exciting for all the students at the centre today.

World Book Day at TKLC!

Today was an extra special World Book Day as we celebrated the magic of books with a book character dress-up day! And what made it even more wonderful? It just so happened that our very own language maestro (no, she’s not just a “language facilitator") joined in the fun dressed as a modern-day Cinderella!

The creativity didn’t stop there! We had a parade of beloved book characters walking through the halls, including:

A huge shoutout to everyone who dressed up and brought their favourite characters to life today! You all truly made this celebration magical. We’re grateful for the fun and creativity you brought to the day.

TKLC Joins Little Rascals for Ubuntu Day Celebrations!

On 10 April, TKLC had the privilege of being invited by Little Rascals to join them on a wonderful journey around the world during their annual Ubuntu Day celebrations.

Each class at Little Rascals was transformed into a different country, and we “traveled” through Sweden, Italy, France, Mexico, China, Greece, England, and the USA 🇸🇪🇮🇹🇫🇷🇲🇽🇨🇳🇬🇷🇬🇧🇺🇸
It was a truly special experience for our high schoolers to learn about these cultures, appreciate the diversity of our world, and celebrate together as part of the Ubuntu spirit.

A huge thank you to Little Rascals for the invitation and for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful and fun celebration. We had an amazing time!

Creative Collaboration at TKLC

Today, we gave our students a chance to tap into their creative sides by teaming up for a fun colouring challenge! Each pair of friends or teammates coloured in one half of a picture, with the goal of creating something unique together.
Once finished, we’ll put the pictures side by side to see how their different personalities and styles blend and complement each other.

We love seeing how teamwork, creativity, and a little bit of colour bring out the best in our TKLC Cappies!

✨ The Forgotten Vault: A Connection Session Adventure ✨
This morning, our students embarked on a thrilling “The Forgotten Vault” adventure as part of their connection session!
They tackled puzzles, cracked codes, and worked together to solve the riddles that led them to uncover the secrets of the legendary Forgotten Vault. Armed with nothing but their wits and teamwork, they managed to escape the vault — but not before testing their problem-solving skills to the limit!
From riddles to ciphers, every challenge pushed them to think creatively, collaborate, and most importantly, have fun.

☘️ A Little Green in the Middle of Test Season! ☘️

Yesterday our students added a touch of fun to the day with a mini St. Patrick’s Day celebration at TKLC. While the test series continued as normal, everyone joined in by wearing something green and bringing along a green snack to share during break.

From green treats to a sea of green outfits, it was a simple but cheerful moment for the students to enjoy together in between their hard work and exams.

We love seeing our learners support one another, share a few laughs, and still stay focused on their goals. 💚

Well done to everyone pushing through the test series!

It’s Test Series time at TKLC, which means things have been a little quieter than usual around the centre lately. 📚✏️

While students are busy writing their tests, our facilitators are working just as hard behind the scenes — preparing, supervising, and assisting.

There may not be many photos during this time, but there’s plenty happening: focus, determination, and a lot of learning.

We are incredibly proud of the effort our students are putting in. Test series can be challenging, but it’s also a great opportunity to see how much they’ve grown and what they’re capable of.

To all our TKLC students: keep going, you’re doing great!
