We provide a nurturing safe space, & quality, fun early educational programme for children to thrive!

23/07/2024

As a community development organisation, making money is secondary to bringing essential services to the community. At Imibala Learning Academy we offer early childhood learning programmes to children from disadvantaged families, from the informal settlements of Vusimuzi in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni.

The reality is that more than half of our clients can not afford the minimum fees we are charging. When parents cannot afford the fees, we don't say the child must stay home. They continue to come to class to play and learn with the other children. The centre also employs two young people from the area, who work as ECD practitioners.

As iMibala Foundation we are looking for partners to help us in this mission to bring change to our community, in a form of learning programmes for young people, a nutrition programme and empowering the most vulnerable members of our society.

Some times learners need extra support to succeed on their learning. This support could simply be learning literacy skills to help them understand their course content in class.

This is where we come in, all grades are welcome. Free registration!

LITERACY CRISIS OP-ED: South Africa’s education crisis – the importance of early childhood education 25/05/2023

The inequality has always been there, COVID 19 was just another disaster that has highlighted this. We can also play our part as communities. With our learning intervention programme, this is exactly what we're doing.

Registration is still open.

LITERACY CRISIS OP-ED: South Africa’s education crisis – the importance of early childhood education Learning starts long before children enter school – and so do learning backlogs.
