What started as our wholewheat sourdough loaf has grown into a few delicious favourites:

🍅 Roasted Tomato & Rosemary with a Maldon Salt crust
🌶️ Jalapeño & Coriander (featured here – for those who like it hot!)
🧅 Caramelised Onion & Cheese

Made the traditional way using Eureka stoneground flours and baked fresh for market day, these loaves have developed quite a following.

We bake only limited quantities, so if you have your eye on a particular flavour, it’s best to come early!

Freshly delivered from Manuella’s Bakery in Stellenbosch at 5:30am every Saturday morning, these irresistible pastries have developed quite a following. In fact, we're completely sold out every week, and the demand keeps growing with every market day.

Soft, sweet, buttery layers, perfectly crisp edges, and just the right amount of almond crunch make these twists the ultimate weekend indulgence. Paired with a freshly brewed coffee, it's become a Saturday morning tradition for many of our regulars.

🥚 Fresh from Happy Valley Farm 🥚
Our free-range eggs come from Happy Valley Farm on the West Coast, where happy hens roam freely through the fynbos with views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean 🌿

The hens are fed a quality grain diet free from growth hormones, antibiotics and preservatives, producing beautiful first-grade eggs with rich flavour and gorgeous yolks.

Simple, honest food from well-cared-for chickens — just the way it should be.

Customer Claudia Fabian, our resident vintage clothing fashionista, created this beautiful velvety cauliflower soup using fresh local ingredients, served with slices of our fresh Raats Wholewheat Sourdough and a generous smear of our signature Dhanja Chutney — specially created for us by Chef Daniel Trent.

And yes… that chutney has a delicious little bite to it 🔥😄
