“As South Africa’s energy landscape shifts and major customers turn to self‑generation—as even former Eskom leadership warned would happen—we’re proud to have been driving reliable, utility‑scale renewable solutions since REIPPPP Bid Window 1.
The future isn’t something to wait for. It’s something to build.”

Belated Birthday Wishes!🌻

A big happy birthday to our amazing team members who celebrated in December and January. 🥳

We hope your special days were filled with joy, laughter, and well-deserved cake! 🎂✨

As we come to the close of this year, it feels important to pause and truly reflect on the journey we’ve shared. This year asked a lot of us. It challenged us, stretched us, and taught us valuable lessons along the way. Yet, through it all, we showed resilience, dedication, and a genuine commitment to getting through each day together and that is something to be deeply proud of.

Thank you to every single person who contributed their time, energy, and heart. Whether your efforts were seen loudly or quietly behind the scenes, each one mattered. It’s because of the support, teamwork, and encouragement we gave one another that we were able to navigate the year and come out stronger.

As we say farewell to this chapter, we do so with gratitude for the moments that shaped us, the challenges that refined us, and the wins, both big and small, that reminded us why we keep going. We carry these experiences forward, knowing they’ve prepared us for what lies ahead.

Looking toward 2026, may we embrace new opportunities with hope and confidence. May the year ahead bring fresh beginnings, renewed purpose, and continued growth — both personally and professionally. Most of all, may it bring good health, balance, and moments of joy to share along the way.

Wishing everyone a peaceful break, time to rest and recharge, and a bright, fulfilling start to 2026.

🇿🇦 Happy Heritage Day, Mzansi! 🇿🇦

Today we celebrate the beautiful, complex tapestry of cultures, languages, traditions, and stories that make South Africa truly unique.

From the isiXhosa imbongi and isiZulu dance, to Cape Malay flavours, vibrant Indian attire, Afrikaans folk tales, Coloured community creativity, and Tswana beadwork — our heritage is alive in every rhythm, recipe, and ritual.

Whether you speak TshiVenda or Setswana, dress in isidwaba, lehenga, denim, or vellies — today is about honouring where we come from and how far we’ve come, together.

Let’s wear our culture with pride, and take a moment to reflect on the strength found in our diversity.

✨ “Our diversity is our strength. Our unity is our power.” ✨

At EDS (Economic Development Solutions), we are proud to work alongside communities, trusts, and partners to foster local growth, dignity, and opportunity — celebrating not just heritage, but the shared future we’re helping to build.

Today we honour the courage, resilience, and voice of the youth who stood up for change in 1976. Their bravery paved the way for the opportunities we strive to create every day.

At Economic Development Solutions, we are committed to empowering young people through education, enterprise, and access to economic opportunities. The future belongs to them — and it begins with support, skills, and sustainable change.

💡 Let’s continue investing in our youth — they are not only the leaders of tomorrow but the changemakers of today.

From 12 to 15 May 2025, EDS proudly hosted Jobseeker Open Days across the communities of Pofadder, Onseepkans, Aggeneys, Pella, and Witbank, as part of the Oasis Aggeneis Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project.

What were we aiming to achieve? ✅ A comprehensive database of local jobseekers to support employment opportunities tied to this exciting renewable energy development.

In addition to compiling the jobseeker database, the initiative also created short-term employment for 15 local residents, who were trained as data capturers—gaining practical skills and experience through their involvement in the process.

This initiative reflects our commitment to inclusive community engagement, local capacity building, and driving meaningful economic participation.

💬 Thank you to all who took part in the Open Days—we’re excited to walk this journey with you as we build toward a more sustainable future.

This week, from 05 to 09 May 2025, EDS was proud to host Jobseeker Open Days in Groblershoop, in the Northern Cape, engaging directly with the community in preparation for the upcoming Oasis Nieuwehoop Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project.

Our goal? ✅ To compile a comprehensive database of local jobseekers that will support employment opportunities linked to this exciting development.

In every ward, we went a step further by employing local data capturers—providing valuable on-the-job training and skills development as they helped register their fellow community members.

We are committed to advancing local economic growth, capacity building, and inclusive participation in projects that empower communities.

💬 Thank you to everyone who joined us this week—we’re excited about the opportunities ahead!

Today, we honour the courage of those who stood against injustice on 21 March 1960 in Sharpeville — a reminder of the price paid for the freedoms we enjoy today.

As South Africans, Human Rights Day is more than a commemoration — it’s a call to action. A reminder that equality, dignity, and freedom are not just ideals, but rights that must be protected, respected, and realised for all who call this country home.

In 2025, as we reflect on our journey, let’s recommit to building a South Africa where:
✅ Every voice is heard
✅ Every person is valued
✅ Every right is protected

At EDS, we are especially proud of the women in construction and renewable energy who are breaking barriers, leading economic development projects, and building a sustainable future. 🚧⚡ Your dedication and impact are shaping a stronger, greener South Africa! 🌱✨
