SENIOR CERTIFICATE ADULT MATRIC MAY/JUNE 2027

No matter how many years you have been out of school, you still have an opportunity to work towards an Umalusi-accredited Senior Certificate.

📌 WHO CAN APPLY?
Adults who are 21 years or older and meet the Senior Certificate entry requirements may register for the Adult Matric examination.

If you do not have a matric certificate but have previously passed or attempted Grade 10 or Grade 11, you may qualify to register for the Senior Certificate for Adults.

Your Pass Level
When you pass matric, there are a few pass levels you can achieve that will determine how you passed your year. These include:

1. Bachelor Pass
2. Diploma Pass
3. Higher Certificate Pass

1. Bachelor Pass
To meet a B pass, you need:

• Level of 4's in at least 4 high credit subjects
• Level 3 in your home language
• Level 2 in any 2 other subjects

2. Diploma Pass
To meet a diploma pass you need:

• At least level 3 in your home language
• At least 3 in 4 high credit subjects
• Level 2 in any other 2 subjects

3. Higher Certificate Pass
To meet an HC pass, you need:

• At least level 3 in your home language
• At least level 3 in 2 other subjects
• Level 2 in 3 other subjects

Dear NSC Class of 2026, please note:

✅ The November 2026 NSC examinations are still going ahead as scheduled.

📅 You are expected to start writing your NSC examinations on 13 October 2026.

📄 Personal timetables / admission letters are expected to be available between 7–9 October 2026.

⏳ For now, do not panic. Continue using the official National/General Examination Timetable that was previously shared.
