H.E.A.R.T PROJECT | NYDA Joins to Unlock YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES IN BOITEKONG

As part of the H.E.A.R.T. Project – an initiative led by Khulisa Social Solutions Working alongside with Community-Based Organisations like Beyond the Change Foundation in Boitekong we are proud to announce that the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) has officially joined the H.E.A.R.T. Project.

This comes directly from feedback gathered during the H.E.A.R.T. Project Dialogue Circles with Boitekong Youth, who called for real access to entrepreneurship support and economic opportunities.

NYDA will lead a dedicated session to bring their services closer to young people, covering:
1. Entrepreneurship: building the right mindset and skills
2. How to Start a Business: step-by-step guidance from idea to registration
3. Opportunities within NYDA: grants, training, mentorship, and support services available now

Department of Social Development Monitoring & Evaluation Visit | 08 June 2026 | Beyond the Change Foundation

Today, Beyond the Change Foundation was honoured to host the Department of Social Development for a formal Monitoring and Evaluation session at the Boitekong Community Centre.

This visit marks a significant step in strengthening accountability, transparency, and impact within our work to combat substance and drug abuse in Rustenburg and beyond. The DSD team engaged with our program team, reviewed our intervention strategies, assessed service delivery, and provided valuable insights to enhance our ongoing recovery support, prevention campaigns, and community outreach initiatives.

We deeply appreciate the Department’s commitment to evidence-based practice, collaborative governance, and strengthening the non-profit sector. Your guidance and support reinforce our shared goal: building resilient, drug-free communities where recovery is possible and stigma has no place.

Today’s evaluation strengthens our resolve to go _Beyond the Change_ – together with government, partners, and the communities we serve.
