Vaskulêre Dementia...
Een van die moeilikste dinge om te verwerk is die stadige veranderinge in die een wat jy liefhet. Word 'n heel ander mens. Alles verander. Net sodat julle weet... 😢 Dit word die lang totsiens genoem.
Vinnige krimp van die brein is hoe 'n dokter dit beskryf het. Soos die pasiënt se brein stadig sterf, verander hulle fisies en vergeet uiteindelik wie hulle geliefdes is en word hulle minder hulself. Pasiënte kan uiteindelik bedlêend raak, kan nie beweeg nie en kan nie eet of drink of met hul geliefdes praat nie.
Daar sal mense wees wat deur hierdie boodskap sal blaai omdat Dementia of Alzheimers hulle nie aangeraak het nie. Hulle weet dalk nie hoe dit is om 'n geliefde te hê wat teen Dementia of Alzheimers geveg het of stry nie.
In 'n poging om bewus te maak van hierdie wrede siekte, wil ek graag sien dat ten minste 5 van my vriende dit op hul tydlyn plaas.
