Chancellor’s Medal Awarded to Pastor George Mahlobo

Dr Henri Weideman (President of The AFM of SA & AFM International), together with the National Office Bearers, extends a heartfelt congratulations to Pastor George Mahlobo, former President of The AFM of SA and AFM International, on receiving the esteemed Chancellor’s Medal 🏅 during the 2026 Graduation Ceremony of the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Theology and Religion.

Today, we honour a servant leader whose life and ministry continue to leave lasting fingerprints of faith, wisdom, integrity, and Godly leadership across generations. This moment marks a precious chapter in the history of our Church.

Following the award ceremony, Pastor George delivered a stirring message to the graduates, calling them toward impact, unity, and purposeful leadership for the future. His words reflected the grace, humility, and vision that have characterised his lifelong service to both the Church and society. The occasion was made even more meaningful by the presence of Mamma Jackie Mahlobo and family members, who shared in the celebration.

In grateful appreciation of his selfless commitment, sacrifice and steadfast dedication to the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and preservation of the gathering of the saints in remembering the finished work of the Cross. Serving as one of the founding members of the Convention, his zeal and vision stood the test of time through trials and tribulations. His advocacy for a united region and church became the wind beneath his wings. We honour his resilience and love in laying a firm foundation for the AFMPC.
